David Ai was born in New Zealand of English and Irish ancestry but has lived in Hong Kong since 1992. When he is not writing he sails his 28ft sailboat on the South China Sea to the deserted beaches of offshore islands or to windswept villages where he will trade tall tales for a feast of fried chilli shrimp and a cold Tsing Tao beer.

Look out for his novels in the Hong Kong Dark series, or the Lance McAuley Adventures, and sign up to the newsletter for new releases on his website.
