Tamela Miles is a school psychologist with an Ed.S and PPS credential and a graduate of California State University San Bernardino and California State University Dominguez Hills. She is also a former flight attendant. She grew up in Altadena, California in that tumultuous time known as the 1980s. She now resides with her family in the Inland Empire, CA. She's a horror/paranormal romance writer mainly because it feels so good having her characters do bad things and, later, pondering what makes them so bad and why they can never seem to change their wicked ways.

It's lovely to hear from another one of us. How's life in the UK? I have a couple of tips for you. First, you need a beta reader or two to look over your first manuscript draft. Having another author as your beta reader is probably your best bet. Next, figure out if you want to go the self - publishing route (where you do all the work except for your book cover - you'll need an artist for that : ) ), which gives you 100% royalties to keep as your own or go the traditional publishing route. I've done both and they both have their advantages. If one of the big boy publishing houses won't even look at your work, try the smaller presses. Hope I've helped you!
