Coffee shop owner and sometimes barista Kian's youthful, tragic mistake still haunts him but it doesn't stop him from wanting just one week of steamy passion with beautiful Sanaa, who also only wants one week of his loving because of a failed relationship that has made her skittish. Kian is a condemned man and, unless he learns about the power of love and redemption, this year will be his last on earth. Is it possible that falling for Sanaa is the solution to his ninety nine problems? Can Sanaa learn to forget her past mistake in loving the wrong guy and consider that Kian may be the one? The only sure thing is it's about to get one hundred proof hot as Hell and all bets are off.

Good premise and defined enough for a short story. At times, it got a bit preachy, but considering the storyline, it was understandable. It would have been nice to see the relationship between Kian and Sanaa develop a bit more over time and the storyline fleshed out more, but it had a nice twist at the end.
This is my first book I read by this author and I enjoyed it. Even though this was a short story of was not rush and it a beginning middle and ending so nothing was left out. I also love demons and angels books. Great job!!!!
Hellbound a BWWM paranormal romance by Tamela Miles held me from page 1. I fell into the story, feet first, and could feel the Kain’s pain when he lost his first girlfriend as a teenager, and Sanaa’s heartache that she was alone on New Year’s Eve, after just breaking up with her boyfriend.
The paranormal spin of Kain getting marked by God’s angel and told he’d have a decade to change enough to earn the right not to go to hell, was a twist that I’d not expected, but thoroughly enjoyed. The instant connection with Sanaa left Kain in a place he’d never experienced, and never expected. The chemistry between them was hot, and the story was well told and kept me interested. I wanted more at the end. But that is probably a good thing. I will be looking for more books by Ms. Miles.
Hellbound is a fascinating premise where we meet Kian who plays a small role in the death of his lover as a teenager and ends up getting locked up. From there, god decides that his soul is going to hell in ten years if he doesn't fall in love and get someone to love him back. This was a super fast read that really could have been much longer with the scenes and interactions being fleshed out. It's an interesting tale of angels and demons bargaining for souls, it can get a bit preachy sometimes. The marking of hell being a pentagram put me off quite a bit. Even still, it's an enjoyable quick read, with some beauty and the beast vibes in the premise and a surprise twist in the end. 3.5/5
Kian is such a great character! I really enjoyed this story. The author did a good job bringing Kian's story to life. The twist in the story at the end will leave you mind blown. Earning four stars from me!!!
