Born in Melbourne, Australia and raised in rural Northern Italy, I have the best and worst of both worlds in my life and my art. I have itchy feet and a longing both for a dark, run-down shack in a forest by the sea, and for a quaint little studio in a bustling city surrounded by light and laughter. I also love goats and rats.

If you'd like to check out some of my work, feel free to find me on Facebook (for book stuff), Instagram (for paintings), or my personal website (for reviews, blog posts, giveaways and randomness).

I like painting though, so often when I paint, I notice little details in the painting that triggers a sequence I get excited to pursue in print. I'm quite visual so well-shot, atmospheric photos are often a good bet. I also like to do automatic writing just to work out any stiffness in my fingers or in my mind.(less)

It's almost unrecognisable unless you look a little deeper. But I keep most of my scribbles, even from that long ago, and every now and again I go back through them (mainly to console myself that I'm actually improve in style and skill) and I thought there was something there worth teasing out. I sat on it without really doing much with it for over a year, tried it out as a roleplaying thing, but it didn't really suit that so much. It was useful though, one of my long-time friends and fellow writers helped brainstorm Alexius and flesh him out - that, ah, "detail" that everyone always notices about him is purely thanks to her, and I can't imagine him or the story without it now. Q. What inspires you?
A. Anything having to do with medieval times or made up realms of dragons, kings, and queens inspires me. I listen and watch a lot of documentaries every week, which also trigger different ideas. Sometimes, it’s a name that sounds captivating, or a particular action or weapon. I’ll write down whatever words come to mind, and even draw pictures sometimes. Music-wise, however
