Hi Claudia,
Thanks very much for your feedback. My apologies for my ignorance. That's why I now have an editor. Let me say that (not sure which Piasa you read, the 2010 one or the 2017) it was my first novel and even though it was originally published in 2010 it was written well before then. That publisher supposedly edited it (Ha!). They are out of business now. Piasa and the follow on, Cryptid, were self edited but I've since gotten a professional editor (she did LifeShift) and I'm happy to say that personal pronouns are not something she still catches (I have improved) it's the commas that she continually harasses me about. This used to bother me a lot but then two years ago I got to talk to R.L. Stine (Goosebumps author) and he told me my job is to write, not worry about that bull****. He told me his finished draft of a book (his wife is his editor), is terrible. That's why he has an editor. However, I am striving always to improve (and I'm older than you) and really appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback.

I read for a variety of reasons - Pleasure, Looking for pertinent books for my grandkids and writing research.
This summer's schedule includes (for Pleasure) Z by Therese Anne Fowler;
Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann; Chinese Fairy tales & Fantasies by Moss Roberts and The Book of Yokai by Michael Dylan Foster.
Pertinent books for the Grandkids: On the Blue Comet by Rosemary Wells,
Notes From the Midnight Driver by Jordan Sonnenblick; Summerlost by Ally Condie; and and One Year in Cold harbor by Polly Horvath.
For Research I'll go to my to Reads after reading Spell of the Tiger by Sy Montgomery. By alternating titles from this list that should get me to fall.
Happy Reading! Mike

Piasa - Revisited

Coming in mid-May - New edition of Piasa . . .

If you’ve already read this novel (a few people have) you’re probably wondering, What the? If you’ve read it well . . . I’ll get back to that later.
