Raised in Minnesota, C. McGee now lives in North Carolina with his wife Beth and their daughter Jo. He went to school for a very long time and now makes much less money than all of his friends.

By night, he is a writer. His novels include Exteriors and Interiors (2016), Feral Chickens: A Hawaiian Comedy (2018), and Owen O’Shea: Stay-At-Home Dad, Wannabe Detective (2024).

By day, he and his wife are professors in a department of two at a small university. Everyone on campus adores him, save the other person in his department who is obviously jealous that their students like him better.
