I was born on a street that had only ten houses; four kids went to law school. Clearly, the water was contaminated.

In my 2nd year of law school I saw the school 'playboy' carrying a large fantasy novel. I made certain my wedding ring flashed protective bolts of lightning, then spoke with him. How did he find time for 'free reading?' "If I didn't read something that wasn't law, I'd lose my mind." Color me amazed, he had a point which didn't include hitting on me! When I got home, I picked up the first book I saw (Tolkien) read for a while, then fell asleep.

I was promptly transported into a dream where there was a great-looking guy and a beautiful woman, with cold wind blowing in from an ocean. As the days went by, each time I closed my eyes

The Help and Me

I developed MS when I was 28. I've had dozens of people in my life who qualify as 'Help.'

One is the same color as the maids in the The Help. Juanita arrived twice a week. I would follow her about house; we talked & laughed most of the time.
What does this have to do with "The Help?" Racism is alive and flourishing in the South. When her grand-daughter wasn't permitted to take courses offered in hig Read more of this blog post »

Lynne Williams Hi Fawn!
I'm happy you bought the book for your Mom and glad you're getting one for yourself. It's nice Celtic look, with all the borders!
Enjoy!
Lynne

Lynne Williams Hi Fawn,
I'm glad you were able to get it! The cover does feel a bit like leather, strange, isn't it? I have both versions -- obviously -- since I wanted to see what it looked like on Kindle. I think the book is quite nice, with lots of Celtic borders here and there.
Hope your Mom enjoys it. Thanks always,
Lynne

Fawn Hi Lynne,
I know we had a conversation about me ordering your book for my step mom and the guy had said it was a Hard Cover. (I can't for the life of me find that conversation)Well, they finally called & I have my hot little hands on your book. You were correct it is not a Hard Cover, but....may I say it feels SO Nice! It feels like leather. My mom is going to love not only the beautiful book itself, but the inside as well. I am sure of it! I have it on my Kindle, but thought you would like to know that now that I have seen the real mccoy I am going to get another one for myself!
