Leon Bloder was born and raised in Colorado before moving to Central Florida during high school. He spent his young adulthood working his way into management at Walt Disney World in Florida before becoming a music buyer and marketer for Best Buy. Leon received his BA in History and English Literature from Florida State University. He was pursuing a Ph.D. in Early Modern British History when he shifted to attend seminary at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, where he would receive a Master of Divinity degree. In 2014 he was awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
