something hangs from his neck, a medallion he wears like a crucifix bereft of Christ,

this medal, blue & gold, with the dispassionate eagle perched on top
of an American flag.

I have just started an Edward Gorey blog.

It's a tribute blog where I will discuss Goreyana, but also a place where I will post writings inspired by E.G.

My Goodreads attacked me today. It woudln't do anything I wanted it to do.

It's working again.

But I just look at it askance now like an iffy relationship. Like when...when, Goodreads?....

Couples therapy with Goodreads would only be wasted money.
