“My eyes are vague blue, like the sky, and change all the time; they are indiscriminate but fleeting, entirely specific and disloyal, so that no one trusts me. I am always looking away. Or again at something after it has given me up.”

Hate Mail
same guy:
i see him
everyday
on my side of the street,
i'm reminded of my father--
those eyes:
indefinite, cold & blue
they hone in
what do they want from me?
i could ask
i keep walking
*
at the methadone clinic
they make you piss
into tiny plastic cups
eventually, the world becomes this giant bladder...
*
i don’t need a woman --
i don’t need a gun --
i want a bullet's simple calm --
i want the kind of death that growls --
*
at the deli
across the street,
an elderly, Korean man,
pitches me another stare,
enough to make a hired assassin giggle like a girl.
on CNN
i saw a parade of coffins
draped by flags blue, red, & white--
the next time a soldier salutes,
i'll know which arm to amputate.
*
he's dependable:
he's become a landmark,
a footnote, a history too private to record.
where he should have an arm
there's an empty sleeve.
something hangs from his neck, a medallion he wears like a crucifix bereft of Christ,
must have got it in 'Nam,
this medal, blue & gold, with the dispassionate eagle perched on top
of an American flag.
Valor, a jungle sniper aiming for the heart.
When the next helicopter lands,
he'll be lifted off,
at home among the wounded.
--Stephen Russell
And to return you kindness of a pat instead of a kick to my back :I have set a little sweet bomb for you already at Tony's profile,
and hope that he will not kick it out,
before you reach it.

Sorry Bill,
if the comment above is for me,
you'll know in the last that WHAT I AM
after my death, not today, o.k?
leaving me in your next life is not too late,
don't feel too much terrible to be my friend,
I eat cats for food , not a stimulating author
who have a Teddy Bear in his hands, as you, Bill !

To any and all "artsy-visualsy" kindred on here, I created a Flickr for my digital art. I am here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/williamk... I'm a babe a-crawlin' through the Flickr woods. But the woods are nice! If you add me (do you even call it "adds' on there?) or connect, I'd be happy to link up with you and see your schtuff.
I'd just like to say that I am proud of all my Goodreads friends who are NOT aspiring cult leaders. If you are not an aspiring cult leader, give yourself a big pat on the back today from me.
Hi Bill,I just want to send a gentle whisper to the teddy bear's Ears in your hands : "I Miss U !!!"

Alors, je viens d'obtenir "Kingdom of Farfelu".
I just joined Twitter (it was court-mandated).If you are on there and want to link up feel free to find me here and I'll reciprocate.
Be patient with my bumbling if you do, as I am new at this.

INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT OF THE DAY: "Today is the first day of the rest of your long, solitary entrenchment against the rising tide of variegated forces of entropy which will eventually swallow you completely, leaving either 1) nary a trace or 2) a trace which will eventually be swallowed up in the next few waves of variegated forces of entropy."

I have just started an Edward Gorey blog. It's a tribute blog where I will discuss Goreyana, but also a place where I will post writings inspired by E.G.
He has been the inspiration for a recent work of fiction by yours truly--a new genre I like to call "refrigerator fiction"--The Ill-Fated Expedition of the Nancy Manners, which I will post on that blog shortly.
If you have anything Gorey-related or thoughts on E.G. to contribute or just feel like stopping in, feel free.

Thanks, I'm happy accepted the friend request. Its funny you should say that cause I was just on here looking through my book lists and saying "I need to read more interesting things..." Thank you for resolving the doubt! Oh and love the blog and your writings!
Here is a short Xtranormal film I made for Edward Gorey's The Gashlycrumb Tinies.I think it's still free to make films at Xtranormal (they're in Beta mode).
It's a fun site.

Hmm. Lots of beefcake photos recently. But some of the links lead nowhere. Also, do you ever sleep? I admire your manic energy, but it makes me feel like a tree sloth. (This is meant as a compliment, not as a criticism, please understand)Congratulations on your 8.71 average rating for ¿Qué es más homo? It seems like quite a feat.
Hello W.,How are you? Thank you for being my friend. I wish you all the best.

Hey, no problem. :)That's funny how apparently the thrift store people don't even read the synopses on the book sleeves when separating books.

Don't feel weird about reading "kiddie books". I'm tempted to read the Animorphs series even though I'm finishing up my freshman year in college. And I'm not an elemetary ed, etc. major. (I saw your review of "Jennie".)

I feel I should be promoting something. Fervently. This is Goodreads. All I can think to say is. Pick the thin asparagus. The fat asparagus might look like you're getting more for your money but you're not. You're not. Because the skinnier asparagus tastes better. There. I promoted something. On Goodreads. I am a publishing monster.

Thanks for you kind words. I needed them today! I am your follower on your blog. Koyore was my first made-up name, when i went live on-line. the Manga is wild, adult, and fun. Also kinda twisted. Tried of reading the usual Shojo, so it is a walk on the wild side for sure.

Love the Godzilla letters, please keep them coming-seriously-would buy a booklet of them. Gamara thrown in would be cool, since they never met. We live near Chicago, so I have gone to a few of the Godzilla Cons with my brother--him is not dyed as green as alot that attend. Enjoy your writings. Thanks for the add. :)

My Goodreads attacked me today. It woudln't do anything I wanted it to do.It's working again.
But I just look at it askance now like an iffy relationship. Like when...when, Goodreads?....
Couples therapy with Goodreads would only be wasted money.
Don't lie to us to profit.
We are heading for a showdown.
I hope I end up with the prettier replacement.
Because, otherwise, it would be like so embarrassing!
"25 Things to Do Around the Office if You are Bored here" is your best work since the first Godzilla/Mothra. And that is high praise indeed. I was unable to stop laughing, which could have been very embarrassing indeed... my wife has some kind of virus thing, is trying to sleep in the next room, and HATES being woken up unexpectedly. But I managed to smother my hysteria. Applause!!!

I have a few lists up now and blogs will be added at the rate of at least one a day, sometimes two or three.
Enjoy.
