Major planets aspecting the eclipse degree can also trigger an event.
I finished reading an updated version (I thought) of astrologer Sophia Mason’s book Forecasting with New, Full and Quarter Moons ]through the Houses].I read the original version of Ms. Mason’s book right after it was published in 1980. And while I’ve tried to obtain an up-to-date copy over the last several years, I haven’t been able to find one. The fact is (at least from what I can tell) there are few astrologers who really want to tackle delineating Predictive Astrology. It can be a bugger-bear.
The bottom line is (in my opinion, anyway) it is not really a matter of predicting, so much as it is in taking a guess. While that may not sound very
‘professional’, the fact is, that’s really what (most) astrologers do: they guess. Yes, you have to take into account the basic meaning of the New, Full, Quarter and especially the Eclipse Moons (which should have been noted in the title), but each astrologer must also take into account the basic interpretation of each of those Moon phases, but also those Moon phases in relation to her or his own natal chart (when you’re doing the reading for yourself), as well as his/her client’s natal chart.
This is why I’ve developed an offshoot of Predictive Astrology which I
refer to as Probability Forecasting. Honestly, I think most astrologers have done the same. You basically take into consideration the transits, the Moon Phase and the client’s chart in relation to the transits and Moon Phases. Even non-astrologers can do this: if you know how to read the transits and the Moon Phases, just compare them to your natal chart. If you know aspects, it isn’t difficult to determine how the astrological energies are likely to affect you.
Not sure there’s much more that can be said about ‘predicting’ or ‘probability forecasting.’ Other than that it would be great if there was a Moon Phase/Probability Forecasting manual for the asteroids as well, especially Chiron. The Big Four Goddess Asteroids: Vesta, Pallas Athene, Juno and Ceres seem to be significantly affecting us as much as the planetary energies! Informative book.
