Here we are, in the darkest week of the longest year in our lifetimes. Christmas is on its way. Hanukkah has shown her lights. Kwanzaa will brighten the days of the rest of the month. . . and then, we will reach 2021, the year on which we have rested multitudes of hope. I hope 2021 is ready to perform.
Today, though, I write with both sad and hopeful news, which feels right for this moment in time.

Dear Andi,I still feel bad that you received and inadequate copy of GoneAway into the Land. I have a brand new publisher who, fortunately for me, has embraced my work and taken my book and my future work on. As a result, it is now in hardback, edited to be a bit shorter with a slight reorganization in the beginning. Also the book has been properly proofed.
My reason for writing is to offer you a free copy of the hardback version which I will sign and send to you.
If, after looking over the new edition, you can reassess your review could you post it on Amazon and B&N.
Keep in mind, I am not by any means trying to skirt criticism, but I do think you deserve a product that is up to my standards and hopefully yours as well. Within that same context I think I deserve to be judged on a product that is of the highest standards. I could never get that with my old publisher.
If you won the book in a contest then I have your address. Just write back and let me know if you would like the new copy. My offer is at no expense to you. In my mind it is just the right thing to do.
