JLynn Baker writes layered sci-fi, fantasy, and supernatural stories about found family, quiet rebellion, and hope in darkness. Her worlds are filled with characters who fight for each other when the world would rather they stay hidden, with quiet moments of courage and connection even in the hardest times.

When she’s not writing, Jenn can be found crafting, traveling, brewing her own beer, or reading with a cat (or three) supervising. She believes stories help us carry the weight of the world and remind us we’re not alone.

One of my favorites is Phedre and Jocelin from Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel series. Aeron and Gwydion from Patricia Kennealy-Morrison's Keltiad is another favorite. Though I have to admit - in that series I have a fondness for a much less exalted couple - Sorcha and Desmond. I know there are others I like, but those are the ones that stand out at the moment(less)

I do sometimes have trouble finding the right words. When that happens, I just write through it - knowing that I can rewrite or fix it later. If I'm having a lot of trouble, sometimes I'll switch to a different project.(less)
