Karen Maffeo Creamer of Maine has been a lifelong lover of and reader of books, and now she is also the author of not one, but two novels!
Since 2010, Karen has written a novel annually in November as part of National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo.org). 'One Brave Thing' and 'What if Bebe Stays with Steven?' are products of this practice! She is currently at work on her third book and first non-fiction book.
Karen has been married for over 25 years to the love of her life, Bill, and is the very proud mother of a son and a daughter, Anthony and Isabelle. Trying snowshoeing

I have never pretended to be the outdoor type. My husband, on the other hand, IS.

I recently became brave and asked him if he’d like to try snowshoeing with me. He agreed, so we both got some shiny new snowshoes for Christmas. In November.

It took a while before we had some snow (and before I had some courage) to try them.

After we got about 16 inches of snow at camp, I had no excuse.
