Karen Maffeo Creamer of Maine has been a lifelong lover of and reader of books, and now she is also the author of not one, but two novels!
Since 2010, Karen has written a novel annually in November as part of National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo.org). 'One Brave Thing' and 'What if Bebe Stays with Steven?' are products of this practice! She is currently at work on her third book and first non-fiction book.

I loved The Rules of Magic !

I was a little cautious to be reading Alice Hoffman, because I sort of remembered finding one of her prior books being, um, kind of dark. Something above about doves, I think. I’m not sure.
