Alisa Steinberg is a novelist, poet, and blogger, and back in the day, she was a practicing psychotherapist (and now she frequently thinks she's the insane person in the room). She lives in Manhattan but doesn't own a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes or hangout at Bungalow 8 like Carrie Bradshaw (although she wouldn't be adverse to either). Steinberg is a lover of great literature, good jokes, romantic movies, and the frequent shopping excursion for fabulous clothes at bargain prices (where she doesn't have to fist fight a fellow shopper for a Juicy Couture sweater). She's the author of "Text Me, a Tale of Love and Technology" and "Notes from Ellen Wasserfeldman" (a comedic novel, the first of a trilogy, due out in the Fall of 2010). Steinberg has ...more

Alisa Steinberg Hey everyone, I have a new YA series up at Amazon Vella! Read on:

Eighteen-year-old Rose is about to go off to her first year of college and it should be a time of excitement, but it's not. How could it be when others have picked the school she's going to so she can be the first girl in a famous, ancient circle? While Rose gets acclimated to her new, extraordinary position and college life, she not only finds her destiny but a taboo love interest in a dorm of modern Arthurian young men. Does she dare give in to her heart and risk losing her title?

You can read it here:

Alisa Steinberg Hi everyone! Just wanted you all to know that my comically quirky novel "Notes from Ellen Wasserfeldman" is now officially out in eBook format at Amazon.com at Notes from Ellen Wasserfeldman Take a look at the book's synopsis ...

One neurotic therapist, her two crazy friends, and one-hundred mental notes ... Oh - and an orgasm named "Oliver" ...

Get ready for the utterly unique "Notes from Ellen Wasserfeldman," - the first book of a comically quirky trilogy with Ellen, a single, neurotic psychotherapist, who's trying survive in New York City - an urban jungle filled with dysfunctional people. Trying to navigate through the daily trials and tribulations of this jungle, she uses "Mental Notes," which are her humorous quotes and reflections that are applicable to the lives of the modern, everyday woman.

Ellen's Mental Notes, one-hundred altogether, begin on the first page with "Mental Note #1: If it wasn't for the hopeful probability of sex, men and women would have nothing to do with one another ... (Okay, so this may be truer for men.)" Truly believing in the theory of hopeful probability - that anything is possible if you just keep on trying - Ellen prepares herself to win the heart of her adolescent crush, who she'll be seeing at a wedding in two-months after not seeing him for seventeen years. But can she really concentrate on the wedding when her father decides to join a monastery in the Poconos, a full-time podiatrist turns into her part-time stalker, floating clergy begin to hover over her bed, and a best friend becomes infatuated with "Oliver," the personification of the female orgasm? With all this insanity in her life, will Ellen and her psyche make it to the wedding in one piece?

If you have any questions about "Notes from Ellen Wasserfeldman" or my debut book "Text Me, A Tale of Technology," just shoot me a message!

Cheers to all of you,
Alisa
