"Her and her mom were sent to Auschwitz. Those sent to the right were going to work in the camp and those that went left were gassed in the gas chambers. Throughout the book she realizes that she only can look out for herself or she would've died. Also, being positive and not feeling sorry for herself got her through. "Peter, the main character spends his time in the annex with his mom and dad and the Frank family for a lot of World War 2 while the Nazi's were putting Jews and extermination camps. Towards the end, someone ratted out their hiding spot and they got taken to a concentration camp and its all from the point of view from Peter, a 16 year old boy who's world got all turned around." — Feb 12, 2018 04:35PM
