H Τίνα Μπαρμπάτσαλου γεννήθηκε στα Τρίκαλα το 1986. Έκτοτε, προσπαθεί να συμφιλιωθεί με το ότι τα Τρίκαλα είναι πιο κοντά στο διάστημα, παρά στη θάλασσα και με το ότι δεν μπορεί να σκιτσάρει κόμικς. Κάπου κοντά στο 1993, συνειδητοποίησε ότι μπορεί να συγγράψει, και έτσι άρχισε ένα ταξίδι από ανολοκλήρωτα μυθιστορήματα, στίχους, αρθρογραφία σε portals (mindthetrap.gr, IforInterview), papers και μια διδακτορική διατριβή. Μεγάλωσε στα Τρίκαλα, σπούδασε στη Σάμο και στην Πορτογαλία και το 2018 επέστρεψε στην Αθήνα, όπου εργάζεται ως SecDevOps Engineer. Οι Περιπλανώμενοι (Σε γκρεμισμένους κόσμους) είναι το πρώτο της μυθιστόρημα, με επιρροές από κλασικούς και νεότερους συγγραφείς του φανταστικού.
