4. งานเขียนที่เขาชอบเขียนอีกประเภทหนึ่ง คืองานว่าด้วยชีวิต จึงมีหนังสืออย่าง 'Mailbox' ที่เขาเขียนจดหมายถึงผู้คนมากมาย หรือ 'วาระสุดท้าย' ที่พาผู้อ่านไปสำรวจช่วงสุดท้ายในชีวิตของผู้คนและสิ่งต่างๆ นอกจากชีวิตผู้คน เขายังชอบสังเกตชีวิตสัตว์ และมีผลงานรวมเล่มสารคดีเกี่ยวกับชีวิตสัตว์อย่าง 'โลกใหญ่ใบมด' ที่เคยได้รับเลือกให้เป็น 1 ใน 100 หนังสือดีในทางวิทยาศาสตร์ด้วย

5. Genderism เป็นงานเขียนอีกเล่มหนึ่งที่ผู้อ่านหลายคนชื่นชอบ งานชุดนี้เกิดขึ้นเพราะคำท้าทายของบรรณาธิการอย่างอธิคม คุณาวุฒิ ว่าเขาจะสามารถอธิบายปรากฏการณ์ต่างๆของสังคมไทยโดยผ่านกรอบการมองเรื่องเพศได้ไหม เขารับคำท้านั้น จึงก่อให้เกิดคอลัมน์ชื่อเดียวกัน และกลายมาเป็นหนังสือชื่อเดียวกัน

6. ดูเหมือนเขาจะเขียนงานแนว Non Fiction มามาก ในบรรดาหนังสือที่เขาเขียนทั้งหมด มีเพียงเล่มเดียวที่เป็นรวมเรื่องสั้น มีชื่อว่า ‘หญิงสาวผู้ตกหลุมรักฯ’ ชื่อเต็มๆของหนังสือเล่มนี้คือ หญิงสาวผู้ตกหลุมรัก 'พระพุทธเจ้าฯ' ซึ่งหมายถึงหญิงสาวผู้ตกหลุมรักหนังสือชื่อ The Buddha of Suburbia อันเป็นหนังสือของฮานิฟ คุเรชิ โดยเนื้อหาของเรื่องสั้นในเล่ม เกี่ยวพันกับความรักต้องห้ามอันหลากหลาย

7. นอกจากงานเขียน เขาทำงานแปลมากเล่ม ตั้งแต่ผลงานเล่มแรกอย่าง Kitchen Confidential ของเชฟแอนโธนี บอร์เดน, South of the Borders, West of the Sun (การปรากฏตัวของหญิงสาวในคืนฝนตก) ของฮารูกิ มุราคามิ, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (ข้ามผ่านพันธนาการ) ของเคน คีซีย์, An Edible History of Humanity (ประวัติศาสตร์กินได้), Onward (ถอยไปข้างหน้า) ของโฮเวิร์ด ชูลทซ์, The Sense of an Ending (ณ ที่สิ้นสุดของบางสิ่ง) ของจูเลียน บาร์นส์ เป็นต้น

8. เขาไม่เคยตอบได้เลยว่าชอบทะเลหรือภูเขามากกว่ากัน เขาเคยคิดว่าถ้าตายไป อยากถูกฝังเอาไว้บนภูเขาที่มีหน้าผาอยู่ติดกับทะเล แต่เขารู้ว่ามันคงไม่อาจเป็นจริงได้ เนื่องจากที่ดินประเภทที่ว่า คงราคาแพงมหาศาล

9. เขาคิดว่าชีวิตนั้น ยิ่งอยู่ก็ยิ่งตระหนักว่ามันมีเหตุผลในตัวเองน้อยลงเรื่อยๆ แต่บางเหตุผลที่ยังเหลืออยู่ คือการมีชีวิตอยู่เพื่อเล่นบอร์ดเกม

10. ช่วงขวบปีหลังๆ เขาหันมาทำงานโทรทัศน์ อย่างรายการ 'วัฒนธรรมชุบแป้งทอด' ทางช่อง ThaiPBS ซึ่งได้รับรางวัลโทรทัศน์ทองคำ ทำให้บางครั้งเขาก็คิด-ทำหนังสือมาทั้งชีวิต แทบไม่เคยได้รับรางวัลอะไรเลย เป็นแต่กรรมการ (เช่น รางวัลวรรณกรรมเยาวชนแว่นแก้ว, รางวัลเซเวนบุ๊คส์, รางวัลซีไรต์) แต่พอทำโทรทัศน์เพียงปีเดียว ก็ได้รับรางวัลเลย เช่นนี้หมายความว่า...

11. กีฬาที่เขาชอบที่สุด ไม่ว่าจะเล่นหรือดู คือเทนนิส นักเทนนิสที่เขาโปรดปรานมากที่สุด คือกุยเยร์โม คอร์เรีย ชาวอาร์เจนตินา เป็นนักเทนนิสที่เก่งคอร์ตดินที่สุดในยุคก่อนนาดาล เฟรนช์โอเพ่นปี 2004 คือฝันร้ายของเขา เพราะคอร์เรียเข้าชิงกับแกสตอง เกาดิโอ ทุกคนในโลกเชื่อว่าคอร์เรียชนะแน่นอน เขาถ่างตาดู แต่แล้วคอร์เรียก็เจ็บ ทำให้พ่ายแพ้ไป คืนนั้นเขานอนไม่หลับ ถ้าหลับเมื่อไหร่ก็ฝันร้าย เขาจึงหลับๆตื่นๆจนถึงเช้า และเสียใจยิ่งนักที่คอร์เรียมา ‘แขวนแร็กเก็ต’ ด้วยการเล่นที่เมืองไทย แต่เขาไม่รู้ข่าว เลยไม่ได้ไปดู แต่แอบเชื่อว่าที่คอร์เรียเลือกมาแขวนแร็กเก็ตที่เมืองไทย เพราะเขาเคยเขียนอีเมลไปให้กำลังใจและบอกว่าเป็นแฟนเทนนิสจากไทย แต่ที่จริงคอร์เรียอาจอยากมาเที่ยวพัทยาก็ได้ อย่างไรก็ดี ปัจจุบันนี้เขาใช้จักรยานเป็นยานพาหนะ เลิกใช้รถยนต์ และหันมาวิ่งอย่าง (ค่อนข้าง) จริงจัง
