This is a book full of great, healthy characters. It's a good look into the Amish lifestyle and the thankfulness for its simplicity. Sallie is very real.

He gives interesting dialogue from the Old Testament for current and re-occurring events (2017). I believe we all must pray about this. Our own watchfulness as to events of today is vital. Prayer accomplishes much more than we know.

“Jesus called the crowd again and said, “Listen to me, all of you, and understand. 15Nothing outside of a person can enter and contaminate a person in God’s sight; rather, the things that come out of a person contaminate the person.” 21“It’s from the inside, from the human heart, that evil thoughts come: sexual sins, thefts, murders, 22adultery, greed, evil actions, deceit, unrestrained immorality, envy, insults, arrogance, and foolishness. 23All these evil things come from the inside and contaminate a person in God’s sight.”
David L. Bone, The United Methodist Music & Worship Planner 2014-2015

“Without knowing the One we put our faith in, our attempts to believe Him are futile.”
Katherine Ruonala, Living in the Miraculous: How God's Love is Expressed Through the Supernatural

“Ephesians 2:1-10 At one time you were like a dead person because of the things you did wrong and your offenses against God. 2You used to act like most people in our world do. You followed the rule of a destructive spiritual power. This is the spirit of disobedience to God’s will that is now at work in persons whose lives are characterized by disobedience. 3At one time you were like those persons. All of you used to do whatever felt good and whatever you thought you wanted so that you were children headed for punishment just like everyone else. 4- 5However, God is rich in mercy. He brought us to life with Christ while we were dead as a result of those things that we did wrong. He did this because of the great love that he has for us. You are saved by God’s grace!”
David L. Bone, The United Methodist Music & Worship Planner 2014-2015

“The people are being prepared for this type of resting of My presence. It is coming.”
James Maloney, The Dancing Hand of God, Volume 1: Unveiling the Fullness of God through Apostolic Signs, Wonders and Miracles

“Surely Calvary represents a fearful price. But your soul and mine, and the millions thus far redeemed and other millions which may yet be redeemed, a wrecked earth restored back to Eden perfection, the kingdoms of this world wrested from the grasp of the usurper and delivered over to the reign of their rightful King!—when we shall see all this shall we not gladly say, “Behold the purchase?”
E.G. Carre, Praying Hyde
