The best advice I can give, and the advice I wish I'd listened to decades earlier, is that you cannot just get by on inspiration alone. Set those writing goals and put your bottom in your chair and your fingers on the keyboard. Even if it feels like you're going to die of mental anguish, get a minimum number of words on the page. You honestly won't be able to tell afterwards which parts you wrote in a bliss and which parts felt like agony!(less)
