K.C. Grant loves to write! From bad poetry at the age of seven to not-too-much-later attempts at a novel where the main character was a talkative red-haired girl (yes, that wasn't very creative) she has loved to create stories. In her adult career, she has written for family oriented magazines like BackHome, Parents and Kids, The Washington Family and LDSLiving. She was so excited about the release of her first novel in 2010, "Abish: Daughter of God." A sequel, "Abish: Mother of Faith" continues the story of Abish and focuses on the mothers of the stripling warriors.

K.C. will also get to continue her fascination with the setting of Mexico (this time with a modern twist) when her suspense novel titled "Venom" which came out January 2012.

I was on a weekend trip with my sister to New York City and was overwhelmed by all of the people and sounds! We had a great tour bus driver who had a very strong Brooklyn accent. I remember thinking how quickly all of those "stereotypes" came to mind even though I didn't know him. It's easy to judge what we hear and so I started thinking about putting a little twist on "My Fair Lady." Only this time a woman would think she had all the answers to proper speech! (less)

Abish: Daughter of God
By K.C. Grant
Every story must have a beginning.

If mine were to be told, it would begin two lifetimes ago, before a queen gave me my freedom and I moved from land to land looking for a place where I belonged. It would begin before death ripped out my heart. But it would not be my story alone. It would tell of a proud people brought low and of a low people exalted, because my Read more of this blog post »

“I have for the first time found what I can truly love–I have found you. You are my sympathy–my better self–my good angel–I am bound to you with a strong attachment. I think you good, gifted, lovely: a fervent, a solemn passion is conceived in my heart; it leans to you, draws you to my centre and spring of life, wrap my existence about you–and, kindling in pure, powerful flame, fuses you and me in one.”
