Colin Gray (1973-) is a qualified pilot and instructor.

He is from Cape Town, South Africa. He is also a bit of a jack-of-all-interests: Plays guitar, is qualified as an electrical engineer, does paving, gardening, has repaired two mantle clocks, painted watercolours for a children's book.

"Drive Coil (short story) 2014, came to be written after I was playing with audio book recording of a story about an android. I was using the computer narrator to play the part of the android, and started to create the character Ness and her spaceship Persephone." - Colin Gray

The second book, Space Drop (almost a novelette), is set chronologically as a direct follow-on tale of Drive Coil, and has more character development.
