We went to Australia, where cricket is of course an extremely popular sport. One morning, while I was looking at a local newspaper, I saw a very short article about the Afghan cricket team. My first question was, "Afghanistan has a cricket team!?" It piqued my interest.

After my family came back from holiday, I researched the team and found that they had an incredibly inspiring story. I love inspiring stories, and I knew the team's story would make a good book. That's where it all began!(less)

I've easily had hundreds of writers come to me and ask me advice on writing books. Majority of them lose motivation or just stop writing their books halfway through the process. It's hard to stay enthusiastic, especially in the very beginning, when you have nobody pushing you forward. Just stay positive, and remember to finish what you started. (less)
