Jerri Keele resides with her husband, two dogs, and three cats in Salem, Oregon. She has been a fan of Davy Jones since the age of nine, in 1966, when he first hit the scene as a Monkee. Since his sudden passing in 2012, she has worked tirelessly toward fundraising to help care for the herd of retired horses he left behind. The horses are under the watchful eye of his four daughters – Talia, Sarah, Jessica, and Annabel – who created the charity The Davy Jones Equine Memorial Foundation (DJEMF). All proceeds from Jerri's first book, A Monkee On My Shoulder, benefit DJEMF. A second book is in the works. ...more

Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment, but this event in 2014 is what kicked off my first book and now I'm planning a sequel. The first book was 100% "pantsed," meaning I had no outline and flew by the seat of my pants. It made for lots of laughs, let me tell you! There are too many details in the first book that must be carried to the second. Am I excited? OH yeah! Am I scared? OMG yes! :D(less)

During the frenzy of NaNoWriMo, many authors volunteer to provide written pep talks. It stimulates the imagination and prods us along to reach our goals, namely 50,000 wo
