The author is a former teacher and enjoys living in New York State's Adirondack Mountain Park. His post-school life includes hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and Nordic Skiing. He is an avid beekeeper and during the rare months when there is no snow on the ground he can be found immersed in his hives.

He is a lover of noir, both on-screen and on the page. He is also a fan of smart-ass dialogue with a strong dose of dark humor. Who says despicable characters can't show their funny sides?
