Only yesterday, while swimming, I realized how much I love books. Swimming laps, I am currently listening to Ayn Rand's, Atlas Shrugged. In the car with my carpool of kids ages ranging 10-14, we are listening to Hitchhiker's Guide #4. I am half way through Divergent in paperback. I've loaded 10 books on my Kindle in the last week. I might need to lay off the free downloads for a while!

Douglas Adams
“Arthur felt happy. He was terribly pleased that the day was for once working out so much according to plan. Only twenty minutes ago he had decided he would go mad, and now here he was already chasing a Chesterfield sofa across the fields of prehistoric Earth.”
Douglas Adams, Life, the Universe and Everything

Donna Tartt
“And just as music is the space between notes, just as the stars are beautiful because of the space between them, just as the sun strikes raindrops at a certain angle and throws a prism of color across the sky - so the space where I exist, and I want to keep existing, and to be quite frank I hope I die in, is exactly this middle distance: where despair struck pure otherness and created something sublime.”
Donna Tartt, The Goldfinch

J.A.C.H. Note: book give away, of the 30 books sent, one was returned to me. The mailer and book are water damaged; it looks like it fell in a puddle. The mailing label fell off, so I do not know who to resend to. If you do not get a book, let me know, and I will send a new copy (not the water damaged one).
