You may find that ... although The Author's work is presented as fiction ... like all successful fabrications ... it is tightly constructed around bits and pieces of reality and truth. Concepts which ... much like beauty, it would seem ... can often appear quite differently to the eyes of different observers.

His writing style tends toward stream of consciousness ... more often than not, is written from the first person perspective ... and skirts around the edges of a cacophony of genres ... mystery, the Vietnam War, alternate reality, the paranormal, science fiction, horror, contemporary literature, and innocent romance.

After High School, C E Foster attended Community College for one year before dropping out. That probably had something to do with ... the discovery of unfiltered cigarettes, whiskey in a square bottle, really fast street rods and '60s muscle cars ... and even faster women. All of which ... occurring simultaneously ... made it rather difficult to think beyond ... well ... you get the picture ...

The Draft didn't catch up with him until May of 1966 … and Private E-2 Foster arrived in Vietnam six months later with a bad attitude. He didn't come home until late February of 1968, shortly after The Tet Offensive ... but as a Specialist E-5 with a couple of medals ... and a 'substantial' attitude adjustment.

During these intervening decades, he married The Love of His Life on The Winter Solstice of 1968, worked as a Mechanical Designer in Weapons R&D while attending college at night, received a BS in Business Administration with Honors in 1978 with his bride and 2 sons in attendance, became a Journeyman CNC Machinist and Programmer, and started a successful high tech manufacturing business ... from which he retired in 2013.

And then ... lured his ever-patient lovely bride to Oceanside California with the promise of a brand-new Jeep Wrangler and an upscale condominium walking distance from the beach ... where he now drives a restored 1967 Big Block 427/435 Corvette and diligently works on fulfilling a bucket list ... that includes becoming a Published Author. ...more

Another warm fantastic SoCal sunny ( lightly overcast ) day ...

Was privileged to place 1st in the Hemmingway 6 Word Story Contest sponsored by the Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation event on 28 August 2021 ...

And immediately invested the $ 25.00 prize money in new publications by the other "local authors" being showcased ...
