I loved this book. I would 100% read it again, which, actually, I’m tempted to do right now, despite having finished it only half an hour ago.
Is it 1:45 a.m. for me? Yes. Did I stay up until 1 a.m. reading this book? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely I loved this book. I would 100% read it again, which, actually, I’m tempted to do right now, despite having finished it only half an hour ago.

My favourite part about the whole of it was Mateo and Rufus finding throughout that day just what they needed: each other. It makes me happy that they got to be really, truly happy, even if only for a few hours.
However. Mateo. He deserved a better death. I mean, yeah. He died trying to do something nice for he and Rufus. But like- come on guy. It’s YOUR fucking apartment. Don’t you remember the damn stove doesn’t work?? Why not try the microwave?? Why even get out of the fucking bed, ESPECIALLY after you promised Rufus you wouldn’t?!
Also- how the fuck does Rufus die?! Does he get hit? How!? It just tells him walking out into the street without an arm to hold him back...nothing more, nothing less...
Anyway, I’m gonna stop dwelling on the past and get some sleep 😂 then probably reread this book, cause I need some closure in my life 🤦🏽♀️😂...more

I remember reading this book when I was younger, probably somewhere around fourth grade. A lot of the parts I still remember, like when Count Olaf tries to marry Violet for the family fortune. There were some parts, however, that I didn’t remember from when I first read the book, such as when the children stay with Mr. Poe and his family after their parents die. All in all, it was a very good book, one I’d definitely read again....more
