I read and write in a variety of genre; drama, romance, tragedy, historical fiction, magical realism. It's all about the setting and the characters for me.(less)
As a writer I often have to stop and think of where I want a character to go. Not in the physical sense, although that helps too. But mostly in their development. Do they overcome their trauma? Can they change their perspective on a situation or in their personalities?
A writer asks as many questions about their characters as the readers do. As you read a story, you begin to wonder what will happen
