When Allyson entered the fourth grade, she decided to start writing, having one of her best friends edit her stories. The summer after freshman year in high school, her cousin begged her to start again on one of her stories. Because of her enthusiasm, Allyson got started again on Casting My Heart, her first official novel.

She survived high school and college by reading and writing in between classes and during long lunch periods. She earned the "Literary Luminary Award" for her class, which she lovingly calls "my bookworm award."

Allyson has a Bachelor's of Arts in English and a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology from Indiana University Purdue University of Fort Wayne (IPFW). ...more
