Nancy Janes grew up in the Appalachians of Kentucky and then moved to an urban setting in mid-adolescence. She attended Wayne State University in Detroit and obtained a Masters degree in Social Work. After a career in mental health she returned to writing and finds the demands of writing as absorbing as her former occupation.

She has released another work Night Rumbles based loosely on the book "The Boy Who Walked A Way."

I am very impressed with the amount of books you've written. You do truly take writing seriously. How do you balance writing versus promotion? I'm a beginner and need the A and B steps.
