"I really enjoyed Part 1 of this book, but Part 2 is dragging for me. Sanderson’s writing is very straightforward and unadorned which isn’t necessarily a problem, but the morality is also very heavy handed, and sometimes it kind of feels like lecturing. I do really enjoy his character development and his insight about the nature of leadership. It’s a well done story but the prose just doesn’t breathe." — May 19, 2026 06:56AM
