Of Dickner's first three novels, this is the one that actually has a satisfying ending. I enjoy his writing overall, especially for its humour, interesting and strangely-motivated characters, and geographical bent.

Enjoyable and humourous, if a bit challenging to track the three parallel stories at times. I preferred this to his recent "Six Degrees...". I wonder what happened to Arizna.
