"This memoir was definitely a page turner for me. It evoked personal emotions from a female perspective. I was angry for her, I was sad for her. My empath side sat with some of the things she shared and it made me pause and think about how society wor" Read more of this review »

"This is a memoir worth reading. I continued to read and reread sections that hit close to home. It was uplifting in a most positive way. Thankyou for writing this Natalie."

Dear Reader,

Thank you for your interest in my memoir. In 2012, I lost everything: my career, my marriage, and my health. I considered taking my own life. An online group of rival writers tore apart my professional reputation. Then they dismantled my

“I enjoyed this book very much. It made me laugh in the right places, hang my head in places, fume in places and overall, admire her pluck, honesty and resilience.

It took guts to write this. It must have been an exhausting process for the author but I hope it was cathartic too, and that the book proves useful to others similarly challenged.”

“I'm prone to tangential digressions, but I've never regretted being remarkably inconsistent:it's led me to fascinating people and interesting stories.”
Natalie MacLean, Unquenchable: A Tipsy Quest for the World's Best Bargain Wines

“A good idea is to do advance research on the Internet, since an increasing number of restaurants now post their wine lists on their Web sites. Before leaving for the restaurant, take a few minutes to scan the list, maybe even look up reviews or scores online as well. Or if the wine list isn’t on the Web site, call the restaurant to ask them to fax or e-mail it to you, or at least to discuss it over the phone. This is especially helpful if you’ll be choosing the wine for a large dinner group and makes you look like a real hero when the sommelier arrives. Not only do you make a quick choice, but you can even toss out a few comments about the region or vintage.”
