“In prehistoric times, early man was bowled over by natural events: rain, thunder, lightning, the violent shaking and moving of the ground, mountains spewing deathly hot lava, the glow of the moon, the burning heat of the sun, the twinkling of the stars. Our human brain searched for an answer, and the conclusion was that it all must be caused by something greater than ourselves - this, of course, sprouted the earliest seeds of religion. This theory is certainly reflected in faery lore. In the beautiful sloping hills of Connemara in Ireland, for example, faeries were believed to have been just as beautiful, peaceful, and pleasant as the world around them. But in the Scottish Highlands, with their dark, brooding mountains and eerie highland lakes, villagers warned of deadly water-kelpies and spirit characters that packed a bit more punch.”

All dreams are dead now.”

“- Excuse me gentlemen, I know it is a little disturbing, because tomorrow is the end of the world, and that man is dead, but still…he hadn’t paid. Can we arrange the matter somehow? – she looks the gathered with endless anxiously and still a little angry face.”

If anyone would like to vote for Gone and bring it up from #84 here is the link: http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/16...Thank you.
Two more writers I would recommend - Brian W Fisher and Jean Carver - great reads! Both authors can be found on www.lulu.com
All Brian W Fisher's books are available as Kindle editions as well.
Thanks very much, Maria. Glad you liked Of Sound Mind. Yes, Jorja is an interesting character and it's possible that I may write a sequel. But for now, I'm really trying to concentrate on the last of the fantasy trilogy, now I've finally finished the other stories that's been rattling /distracting.Thanks again.
I have just nominated my two fantasy books, 'Gone' & 'The Star Realm' to the Sci Fi and Fantasy Book Club group March /April read.Such an ego!
*smile*
Oh and while I remember and have time to say:MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL (or any other appropriate greeting for this time of year)
Now, I must get back to writing!
*smile*
Thank you very much, Gina. I hope you enjoy them. And thanks to everyone who has marked any of my books to read - it'll be worth it!!! lol
Just to be completely egotistical:'Gone' is now number 1 of the top 100 books on the whosreadit website (fantasy) and number 6 in top 100 for fiction.
Sorry - couldn't help but share my one second of fame.
*smiles*
Hi JulieI'm about half way through reading 'Gone'. I am really enjoying it so far! Can't wait to find out what happens to Charley...
Finished your book last night still to write a fitting review of how much I enjoyed it but shall do soon.
Hmm, well my writing is successful...yours too...the problem is making others understand this, lol. It's all down to luck now because there is no way I'm appearing on Big Brother!
