C E Aylett is a British author living in France, in servitude to two kids and a cat. A progeny of the 1990s UK rave culture, she traveled much of the world before settling back in Europe to renovate a house and start a family. She loves live music and slinky DJs and her tastes are eclectic – she is just as likely found performing air guitar in the kitchen to Iron Maiden, or caterwauling to Arctic Monkeys, as she is curled up on the sofa reading Pride and Prejudice. Her fiction often explores the greyer areas of human nature, varying between dark realism, wry humour and a fascination with the fantastical. Latest Release

My newest short storyChaos in the Cavernsis now available on Kindle. It’s a humorous supernatural fantasy, not to be taken seriously. It came about from a call to submission for an anthology — the theme was Ghosts on Drugs. Despite keeping to that theme, it was rejected.I’m pretty sure it was a theme reject, but I can’t tell you why I suspect that because it will spoil the whole plot of the story.
