I'm editing my man's professional reference letter as I speak!

Yeah, thanks. will do keep writing. And keep writing for you too, more and more books. definitely feels great, eh? ;-)
cheers

Thank you.
I love books; both reading and writing.
Hope we would be able to have a good friendship :-)
Best regards,
Ove

And as for the above 'Gone w/ the Wind' comment, I guess to each there own. It is one of my all time favorite novels and I feel the stereotypes depicted were key to that time period, so to look at it with a modern perspective is a bit harsh.

thanks for the encouragement. I've really never considered writing, simply because I don't think I have very unique or inspired thoughts. I do enjoy reading, however, and hope that others may benefit from my odd and often circuitous musings :)

Look forward to getting to know you and your work.

This book = A racist piece of trash...if this is your favorite book then don't kid yourself that I would want to be friends with you. I think it says a lot about the United States and its bigoted culture that this is so celebrated a novel.
Many readers here on Goodreads admit to Gone with the Wind being full of 'exaggerated stereotypes' and yet, like you, give the novel 5 stars. To say that the entertainment value of a book makes up for it's overwhelming racist sexist content/message is rationalization at its very worst. From this sort of logic, every kind of inhumanity may follow.

thanks for the add and the sincerity.
take care.

Also, it's always nice to meet another Jersian!

Thanks so much for the comment. I feel very flattered. In a way, you've just boosted my confidence and enthusiasm.
:D
Thanks again.

Thank you for your kind greeting. While my sister and I may be in earthly balance, we are quite clearly in literary imbalance. Believe it or not, I used to be the big reader of the family. Luckily I have fellow bibliophiles to act as my guide. I look forward to further perusing your list.

Thanks for the flattering comment. If you hadn't noticed, Toni and I are sisters. We aren't twins, however. She's older;) No, I jest. I'm the elder sis by five years.

Thank you so much for the kind comment! What a nice surprise!
It was here I discovered Caligula was written by Camus...I read it when I was about seventeen and felt very ummmm.. grown up? reading it. Oh and a little queasy.

I think that you'll find that he is a very rewarding friend. His assessments are sound and deliberate (on books of course, not you or me. ahahahah).
Keep it up Danfitz!
I was able to devote my attention to Crime and Punishment and to read it straight through, and so that experience was completely different.
& thank you.
