As we finish books, did you want links to reviews? One post at the end?

That would be great Lynxie...for those who don't do reviews, just the star rating and the fact that the books are finished would be fine...

MarciaB - Book Muster Down Under | 225 comments Thanks Brenda - I'm sure I've got a heap of enjoyable reading coming with that list!

I agree, especially with #2, Shattered Sky which I loved... Helene Young just won the R*BY award in the Gold Coast last night for that book. And her new one, released 5th July, Burning Lies is even better IMO!! She's an amazing author:)

message 111: by Isabel (new)

Isabel Mansfield (issy05) | 62 comments Thankyou Brenda

message 112: by MarciaB (new)

MarciaB - Book Muster Down Under | 225 comments Thanks for that Brenda - I've been wanting to read one of Helene Young's books for a while, but as you know, we have so many on our "to read" shelves it's almost impossible, but thanks to this challenge I now get to read it very soon ...

message 113: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79969 comments Mod
If you want to read them in order, the first one was called 'Border Watch' renamed to Wings of Fear..it is a trilogy, so you learn and love the characters:)

message 114: by MarciaB (new)

MarciaB - Book Muster Down Under | 225 comments Thanks Brenda, I might just do that. I didn't realise it was a continuation of another novel so am glad that you mentioned this ... I hate reading books out of order.

message 115: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79969 comments Mod
I'm the same...I think it's better to read them in order, so the characters grow with you!

message 116: by MarciaB (new)

MarciaB - Book Muster Down Under | 225 comments Ok, so I've just ordered it online with my library (Border Watch) - thanks heaps.

That's great Marcia! I'd love to know what you think when you're finished...you'll have to read her new one once you've finished the first two, as well:) Then you'll be ready for her next one, which is a stand alone, due out July 2013!

Lynxie | 715 comments Ok so I've read my RED book... Half and Half by Betsy Miller

It was only very short... which made my review really short too. I like Betsy's writing style, but I'd like to see her work on something longer! Three Stars

Kim, I sure you'll like it and can’t wait for you to start it :D It's certainly a lot faster and action packed than The Last Werewolf but equally as good.

Next year the last book in the trilogy will be out called By Blood We Live

message 121: by Mish (new)

Mish | 3600 comments Actually all this talk of Glen Duncan has made me want to read another one of his books. So I'll change my 'Red' book to I, Lucifer Finally, the Other Side of the Story by Glen Duncan

message 122: by Kim Marie (new)

Kim Marie | 894 comments I'll definitely get back to you Mish as soon as I've read Talulla Rising but a fellow reader recommended that I try Death of an Ordinary Man before I, Lucifer: Finally, the Other Side of the Story so I'll be very interested to hear what you think of that one!

message 136: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Bailey (klbailey) So how do people normally show they've read books in these challenges? Do we post as we finish a book or edit our original post to cross things off the list? (I know it's not time to start reading yet but I'm curious)

message 137: by Trina (new)

Trina (trina88) Kirsten you can do both; people usually post about the books they're reading as they read them, and a lot of people repost their original with the books they've read crossed off. Basically it's whatever you want to do to show you're making progress!

message 138: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Thanks Trina:) That's correct Kirsten...have a browse through the winter challenge, and see what people have done.
