Rachel | 15 comments I think the genre of the book was in fiction.
From what I can remember it was about a boy who was in feudal Japan. I think it had to do with him running away (in exile). The cover had him on a running horse in the snow.

Thanks!

When did you read this Rachel? And is it YA or adult?

Sharnie | 16 comments I'm probably incorrect, but the only book I've read set in feudal Japan is Across the Nightingale Floor

Rachel | 15 comments I don't remember exactly when I found it, maybe 2004/3?
I believe it is YA.

Dorothy and Thomas Hoobler have several books in the Samaurai Detective series. The first is The Ghost in the Tokaido Inn. I don't recall any with a horse on the cover.

There's also The Master Puppeteer by Katherine Paterson. Again, no horse on the cover, but definitely set in feudal Japan.
