I have to count up all the points and then announce the winners... soon!
Have fun and keep posting!

Sorry, didn't mean to startle anyone. I must've got the time wrong. I thought I read 12am Feb. 8th. Ooops!
Hmm? Yeah, you're right, it's over! 12 am Feb 8th is the end of the contest, so I'm excluding any posts from this morning, after midnight.
Ok! I know you're anxious to find out who won but I counted and recounted and I've got to break a tie! Or get another prize. Or something. So give me a couple of days to work it out before I announce the official results. Sorry for the delay, but what were the chances, huh?
I don't care if it's over... I'm totally wanting to do this so I'm gonna try it if I can afford the chocolate this weekend. LOL Never fear, I'll post about it!Good luck everyone who entered!!!!
I was planning to do this for sure but two things happened this week. 1. I found my camera on an incredible STEAL at Circuit City so I finally have my camera replaced! Woot! 2. My Nazi like water company decided to have a mental breakdown. You don't want to know. GRRR. I may not be able to get any extras at the store... oh well. If not... I'll do it next month :)

WINNERS! for Extra Credit 2
Each will receive a signed Storm Glass ARC
1st Place: Gisela with 118 points
2nd Place: Rachel (GRuser 1561940) with 81 points
3rd Place: Mindy and Lady Ozma tied at 74 points
Epic Level: And because these crazy gals really really seemed to want it bad, Kristen and Meme who blew everyone else out of the water with over 300 points each (so many points that I quit counting round about there) will receive hand-me-down ARCs of Storm Glass (they've been read by me and a couple of other gals at work, but they're in great condition and they'll be personalized and signed for you by Maria!)
Sorry for the delay, but I had to make sure I had enough prizes for the tied winners, and the Epic-Level Posters, and Maria was gracious as always in volunteering another copy.
Congratulations, keep on posting, and winners please message me with your full name and address! Your ARCs will arrive in a week or two! We can't wait to hear what you think of the book!

You posted! A lot!!!
ROFL! I saw that. I'd forgotten about that part of the contest. For some reason I had it in my head the contest was "make a pretty art for a shirt or make yummy criollo"! I totally forgot that posting was even a way to earn points.I told you... I'm a dork. ROFL
I had fun posting!! I've kind of missed it this week! This group and one of my others were so active last week! *GRINS*
YAY! Meme and I were EPIC LEVEL! I gotta tell my D&D loving fiance I've made EPIC LEVEL in the class of POSTER. muahahaha.
OMG! I'm so excited I can hardly sit still to type this. Seriously, if I were writing it would be illegible. Yay! Alethea, I still need to email you my baking pics... my husband has been too "busy" to do it. It's not like I asked him to take the garbage out or something. ha ha ha. I'll see what I can do today to get him to come around.Congratulations to everyone else too! It's been a lot of fun posting with you guys and doing the polls. BTW, I'm not up with the lingo... what does ROFL mean?
Also, thanks to Maria for donating her books to the contest!

awww thank y'all HEHE I like the sound of epic level, now I can tell my hubby see there is a reason to stay on the comp all day LOL
ROFL! Tell him you are working on your next piece of epic loot ;)I can't believe I forgot all about the contest in my excitement to talk chocolate, and everything else, with you guys. HAHAHA I really am a dork.
When is the t-shirt design contest goin to start? I want to see all the cool designs peeps came up with! :)
Hi Alli! And everyone, sorry about the delay--I'm going to post more about this sometime this weekend.
It's all good Alethea! :) I was just curious what was goin on behind the scenes. No stressin over this if you're super duper busy. We can be patient! :)
On the subject of t-shirts, I just got in a catalogue from a t-shirt company called McCreary's Tees. When my mom gets shirts made she always goes through this company because they are wholesale priced and darn cheap! They just sent her their new catalogue and I pawed through it. I was thinkin, if we want to get some PS t-shirts made, this would be a good option on the table. :)They're website is: http://www.mccrearystees.com/
See what you guys think!
Having had to get t-shirts together before, the "Bella" line is nice for ladies. :)
Hey! Thanks for sending the link to that site! There were a lot of different shirts and I think I liked this one the best:Bella® Ladies' Sheer Rib Longer Length T-shirt - 8701
I think it would be fantastic if we all had matching PS shirts to wear!!! :D :D
FYI, I need more contestants!! send entries to frootjoos @ gmail dot com... So far, I've only gotten 1 person and 3 entries from that person, and while I'd be very happy to just send her a prize for being punctual, that's really not much of a contest. ^_^ Sorry, Alli! I promise to send you something special for being a good girl.
I'll even loosen up the rules a little--you don't have to actually make it--just show us a graphic representation of your idea. You can do that in a Word document, easily!

I would love to get in on the t-shirts! :)Jen
Althea - how do I do a graphic representation of my idea? I guess I could draw it and scan it, right?
Alethea- I'd love to make a t-shirt, but I'm really busy at the moment with finals. However, by the end of this Wednesday, I will be free for a week!! Could you extend the deadline to the 28/29??
Yes, Jen, just draw and scan! Or draw and photograph, or make the image in an image editor like Photoshop, or whatever is needed to get the message across.
And Yes, Rachel, I'm just going to wait a little longer anyway. We've got until the end of the month.
And Yes, Rachel, I'm just going to wait a little longer anyway. We've got until the end of the month.
I had an idea for just text... but thought it was lame... LOL You know where it just has that line of text like "There are 10 people in the world. Those who know binary and those who don't." Can I send you that? I figured it was LAME. But I have zero drawing skills. Somehow stick figure peeps probably wouldn't be cool. HAHA ANything else would be so absolutely badly drawn no one would know what it is... LOL
Well Ozma, less is more! There are tons of shirts that only have words on them (which also makes them cheap to produce!) If you just have a clever saying like "My Buddie went to Sitia and all I got was this lousy shirt" that works just fine.Rachel, I think that is a nice choice for a shirt. I like it's length and the cut of the sleeve, it makes it stylish! I worry though that it has a limited number of sizes.
My choice would be the "1001" style. It comes pre-shrunk (always a bonus! When you wash and shrink a shirt the text/design can get wiggly and warped). It comes in sizes S-5XL and has lots of color choices (though we might not need them). Because of all this selection, my guess is that this style is their "generic" bella shirt and is less expensive. But I'll have to look it up. I'll log into my Mom's account and check out all of our choices. :)
I'd like to get a batch of T-shirts done in time for the release of Storm Glass! So lets get those ideas rollin! :)
Mine was more like "My friends went to Sitia and all I got was this lousy tshirt. Where the heck's my dang criollo???"I also thought:
Someone who doesn't love me went to Sitia and got me this dumb tshirt instead of criollo!
So there you guys all have it. Those were my brilliant ideas. I told you they were lame. ;)
Haha! I think it would read better as "My friend went to Sitia and got me this dumb t-shirt instead of criollo!" :D You could even play around with the criollo idea more. There are lots of shirts about chocolate, you would just need to insert "criollo" instead. :)
Alli- that 1001 style would be just fine. I didn't realize the one I suggested had limited sizes. What a bummer!! However, pre-shrunk is definitely a plus!Lady Ozma- lol I like your Criollo ideas! If you have a camera, you could take pictures of chocolate and then put the phrase around it.
OMG.. hahaha IF I have a camera?? I'm a photographer ;) What kind of chocolate picture you want? Have SLR will travel ;)
Lady Ozma! I did not know that!!! What type of camera system do you have? I'm a bit of an amateur photographer myself. ;) So I would use your photography skills to your advantage for the t-shirt contest. You could photograph chocolate for your criollo phrase or you could do something else. And then you could photoshop things together to make a cool compilation or something. lol I don't know...just throwing out random ideas!
I need to see if I can find the stuff to make criollo. I still don't have any ideas. LOL Then photograph THAT!Message me any time. I am a Canon girl. I have the new XSi and <3 it. You can view my photos on my flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/ladyozma). Though I need to go update it back to a paid acct so they are all there. (Will do that later today.) I post all my photos there - fun family shots, cam phone shots, as well as my "good ones". LOL It's a hodgepodge.
I really love my camera and I love to take photos. Because I do most of my work for people I know and people they know I am always broke. LOL But, I really don't have the time right now to devote to doing it full time. So at this rate, by the time I am, I'll have the clientele and referrals to do so. :)
I'll shoot for anyone just cause I enjoy it so much! LOL.
It's good to see I'm surrounded by so many photographers! :) I'm an amateur photographer myself! We should all share our pictures sometime, though I need to put them somewhere to show haha. Maybe my deviant art account. Though, I've been on a bit of a hiatus. I find it gets distracting when I keep seeing pictures everywheeere haha. I use a Nikon D40x (SLR) but it needs a new 55mm lens, poor baby! I'll be getting one soon and when I do I have a feeling I will start clickin away again. Easy as a phD (push here dummy!)Well I looked up the t-shirt prices and the 1001 Bella sizes s-xl cost $3 a shirt; 2xl costs $4. They don't seem to have any larger sizes than 2xl in stock at the moment.
Lady Ozma- Yaay! Another canon girl!!! I am a canon fanatic, as well! I've heard good things about the Xsi and I'm really glad you are enjoying it and it is working out for you! I currently have my first camera- S1IS- haha simple point and shoot, but it does the job really well considering its size. I'm hoping I'll save enough for the gorgeous 50D...someday...lolAlli- ew Nikon...lol Just kidding! :-P What happened to your 55 mm lens? :( Is that your only lens? Well most of my photos are on facebook, but it would be nice to put them in a Study Buddies photo site! ;) Have you heard of photobucket? We could try that one! I don't mind putting my photos up as long as people don't steal them.
Those are great prices for the t-shirts! Do you think we need sizes bigger than 2xL? And does the price depend on how many you order?
