Emma (missprint) | 6 comments When Twilight was first getting popular I always confused it with another book that I thought was also called Twilight. I haven't been able to find that book and have since wondered if it might have been Moonlight and I just confused the two.

The book I am thinking of was about a boy who would emerge at night dressed as a girl, a truer version of himself as he saw it.

With Meyer's Twilight being everywhere I've had no luck searching for the title, if that is the title. Any help would be appreciated!

Emma (missprint) | 6 comments I saw the book in the library when I started working there in 2003 or perhaps 2004. It looked new so I think it was probably published after 2000 probably close to when I first noticed it.

April Ann (bloomer) | 515 comments There's another Twilight by Kristen Heitzman. The plot doesn't seem to match though.

It was published in 2002.

"When a Firefighter Fails, People Die...

Cal Morrison was the best firefighter the town of Montrose had seen, until a tragedy left him with a fear he couldn't shake. When Laurie Prelane arrives with two children in tow, Cal's memories of a love once lost are stirred even though he's no longer the person she once knew. But why has she returned?

Laurie thought marriage would give her everything she longed for - money, prestige, and an escape from small-town life. With that dream shattered, Laurie is determined to make it on her own for the sake of her kids. But danger has followed her, threatening all she holds dear. Can Cal still be the hero she so desperately needs?"

There's Moonlight by Keith Knapp, but it sounds like a supernatural thriller, no transvestites mentioned. It looks like it's a 2007.

"Hollywood glamour, fiery passion, and a murderous stalker all come together in Twilight"

Emma (missprint) | 6 comments These all sound interesting but none of them sound like the book I saw. Maybe I completely misimagined the title . . . Thanks for searching though.

Kate (katespofford) | 261 comments There are YA books called Twilight by Meg Cabot (Mediator series) and Erin Hunter (Warriors series).

Also found this one: The twilight ghost / Colin Thiele.
Robby may be the new kid in Twilight, but he's already seeing ghosts. In fact, he's afraid that one of them is out to get him, but that won't stop him from accepting a dare to enter the scariest place in town--the haunted old Children's Home.

None of these seem to match your plot, but thought I'd give it a try.
