Do you know when it was published? Or around what decade?
I saw the book in the library when I started working there in 2003 or perhaps 2004. It looked new so I think it was probably published after 2000 probably close to when I first noticed it.
There's another Twilight by Kristen Heitzman. The plot doesn't seem to match though.It was published in 2002.

There's Moonlight by Keith Knapp, but it sounds like a supernatural thriller, no transvestites mentioned. It looks like it's a 2007.
Here's another Twilight by Billy Dee Williams and Elizabeth Atkins Bowman. "Hollywood glamour, fiery passion, and a murderous stalker all come together in Twilight"
These all sound interesting but none of them sound like the book I saw. Maybe I completely misimagined the title . . . Thanks for searching though.
There are YA books called Twilight by Meg Cabot (Mediator series) and Erin Hunter (Warriors series).Also found this one: The twilight ghost / Colin Thiele.

With Meyer's Twilight being everywhere I've had no luck searching for the title, if that is the title. Any help would be appreciated!
