Yes, it is a great tool, and thank you for letting us know about it. Since there's a button for people to subscribe to an author's mailing list, I'll ask: does anyone have a mailing list? I'm wondering if it's an effective promotional tool. Is it worth the time you put into it? And what exactly do you write about in a newsletter?

John, the list is at the very top of the things you can have. These are usually your cheerleaders, and the ones who will get the word out for you on your releases.

The newsletter usually has updates on what is going on with you as a writer. Many writers also offer special deals to this core group to help keep them happy and on the promotional team.

This might be a dumb question, but how did you get that app on your page.

Janet, go to the search box and type author application, select it and approve, then follow instructions.
Be sure to follow my page for more info on new products.

Winston, you have to be on a fan page, then go to search box and type author application. It should work for any type books

I've liked everyone's page that has posted in this thread. Just to let you know - if you like a page through your own "like" page then it doesn't show up as a new "like" for some reason. Not sure why. Some quirky Facebook thing I guess.

Joan, after you create a fan page, then go toserach box and type in author application, it will lead you through the process.

Okay, am I the only idiot on this forum? I cannot find this app. I logged into my fan page, typed "author application" in the search box. It brought up nine applications, NONE of which is this "Read My Book" one. Am I doing something wrong, or does Facebook simply hate me?
