the Greek transliteration (Ἐλισάβετ, Elisábet) of the Hebrew name Elisheva, meaning "God's promise", "oath of God", or "I am God’s daughter".
And my middle name Helen is:
derived from the Greek Ἑλένη Helenē, meaning "torch" or "corposant.
I was named for Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, which is why I also ended up as a Lizzy rather than any other nickname. As for the meaning, well I'm an atheist, so didn't really live up to the name!

My real name, and this kind of invalidates the point of the assumed name, loosely translated is "He Who Is Like A God Before The Wolf In The Meadow." And I'm okay with that.
My assumed name translates as "The Knave of Lancaster." Which I'm also okay with.

Walter from the Old High German Walthari. Wald meaning "rule" and Hari meaning "Army" or "Warrior".
Literally, "wielder of hosts".

My middle name is James, again from Hebrew by way of Greek and then Latin and means usurper or supplanter.
My surname is a bastardisation of the french surname Delacour caused by several generations of dodgy handwriting but the basis of the name means "of the court"
So, with some liberties taken my name would mean something like "God as given a usurper to the court"

Middle name: feminine of John, from the Hebrew meaning "God is Gracious"
Surname: my maiden name means "younger of two persons bearing the same first/personal name"; my married surname means "from Camillo" (Italian)
So I am the younger of your friendly emulator rivals, to whom God has been gracious, and will now go to Italy. Yeah. I really don't like conflict, of any kind; I'm an atheist; and I'm the eldest child and was almost always the oldest in my class. On the upside, I love learning new things (emulation); I'm friendly; and my husband has promised to take me to Italy someday.
I'll call it even.

So, essentially, I'm Minis Tirith . . .

This is funny to me since I'm really an atheist :) Unless this means that… I AM God !? Oh my Science !

I would say that while I live up to the latter since I like learning, the former is open to interpretation...

Then you should totally make one up to stand the test of time.

As has already been discovered, Jonathan, my first name is Gift of God, My middle name, Andrew, is usually rendered of Man, or Manly, but is sometimes translated from the root as Warrior.
My last name is very unspectacular, Glover - Maker of Gloves.
If you put it all together, it's either a Manly gift from God that makes gloves, or a Warrior gift of God that makes gloves. In any case, it makes me sound a bit confused, lol
