Susan rolled her eyes at the girl's reaction. "The fact that I have to stay away from them goes to show just how unintelligent they are, so I think I'll stand by my statement," she said lightly.

Stay away from them.. It clicked and Jaze's eyes narrowed further. "Stormaway. You know, it's polite to knock before you let yourself in."
"It's also impolite to treat guests with such condescension. After all, this is an institute, isn't it? I shouldn't have to knock when I should be welcome any time," Susan mused coolly, taking in the girl's irritation. She wasn't all to thrilled with Jones for telling the girl about her. If he used his words so loosely, she and her family would have to leave the city sooner than they planned.
"Yet, you stay away from us," Jaze responded evenly. She kept her knife in her hand, but lowered her arm to her side. She wasn't going attack someone she couldn't see. Besides, the Stormaway hadn't caused any trouble yet. "Are you here for something?"
"Yes, well, I have a sense of self-preservation," Susan said lightly, though that statement seemed to contradict everything she had done in the past few hours. "And I was considering filling you people in on a few things that would be of some worth to you, but I don't think I really want to tell you when I'm being treated so poorly in return. It's a shame, really."
Jones leaned his head out, hearing the noise. "Ah, I see you're back Susan Stormway." he murmured, coming outside to stand behind Jaze. "You must tell us how to improve our cordiality because I believe you have been treated with what befits someone who snuck into the Institute." he then said.
"Well, you can certainly improve on tightening your loose lips, for one. Spreading my name around is very dangerous. Or was I wrong to assume that you understood the peril I put myself in by setting foot in this building and having the decency to give you information that could benefit you?" Susan demanded.
"You keep mentioning information you think we'll want," Jaze muttered. "Yet you decide not to tell us and instead say how much danger you risk coming in here." She raised an eyebrow. "Tell me, if you're in so much danger and haven't told us what you thought we would want, why haven't you left yet?"
"I'm simply allowing you to understand just what this little situation entails. The last Shadowhunters that threatened my family met a rather unfortunate fate," Susan said quite simply. She wasn't exactly proud of her past actions, though they had been very necessary. It's either kill or be killed. "And I haven't left simply because I see an opportunity that I might benefit from."
Jaze crossed her arms, knife still in hand. She was getting annoyed and stayed silent. If she opened her mouth one more time, she was pretty sure it wouldn't be one of the wisest things to say. She did not like that Susan had threatened her, either. She glared and waited for Jones to speak.
Susan almost gave an approving nod when the girl finally fell silent. She doubted the young Shadowhunter even knew or understood the reasons why her family was hunted down like demons. That was, however, the reason that she had bothered to stay. A large part of why she had said no to Xavier was because helping him destroy the Clave would just go to prove that the Stormway's were just what the Nephilim believed them to be: monsters. She was determined to prove otherwise.
"Alright. I think we've had enough verbally sparring. Please tell us what you came here to Susan. It would be much appreciated if the truth could be put out there." Jones said tiredly and smoothly.

Susan's lips thinned, but she didn't want to waste even more time. Deciding to go chronologically, she replied, "Well, first off, you should probably be warned that there's a werewolf going around the city biting mundanes. I'm sure the pack is taking care of it, but you can never be too cautious."
Jaze's mouth nearly dropped open. Nearly. "Well, crap," she muttered. And prefect timing! With Nik and the vampire vs. werewolf war going on and all..
Jones' eyes widened and questions buzzed through his head 'What had truly happened?' 'Had Todd let it slip?' 'Was it an accident?' 'Were the werewolves possibly intentionally recruiting new members to fight the vampires?'"Thank you for the information Susan, that was very useful. Is there anything else you might possibly know?"
Susan screwed her lips to the side thoughtfully as she debated in her head whether or not she should tell them what transpired at the park. Giving a mental shrug, she asked, "Are you familiar with the warlock Xavier Locke?"
((Maybe Jones could come talk to Tod once he;s done here?))
((That's what I was thinking.))"All too much." he said bitterly before nodding. "Yes? Was he there in the attack?" he wondered.
"No, but he approached me afterwards. You are aware that his goal is to overthrow the Clave and basically enslave Shadowhunters, yes?" Susan said calmly, crossing her arms.
"All too aware. He approached you, hoping to gain your support for his cause?" he wondered what kind of game Nik and Xavier were playing at - it was a strange tactic. They wanted to enslave shadowhunters yet work with them? What did Nik think?
"Mmhmm," Susan replied her gaze sweeping over them. "And I thought that it might give you Shadowhunters something to think about to know that while the Stormways have every reason to want to overthrow the Clave... I said no."
Jaze had put away her knife and was now carefully keeping her face blank. She kept quiet, just listening now. She said no. Why? she thought. to keep her family safe....ish? Because she's trying to prove herself? Or is she lying..
"Thanks for that Susan, even if your motives are unknown to us." he told her gruffly, wondering where to start with this fiasco. He supposed he had to go and see Todd about the biting.
Susan held back a snort. Right. Unknown motives. These people really were blind, weren't they? Since they couldn't see her, she figured she didn't really need to say good bye, so she merely turned on her heels and left without a word.
Jones turned to Jaze and said "I trust you can handle everything here. I'm just going to head on over to the werewolves and see what's the deal. Jaze. Susan." He then walked out.
Jaze opened her mouth to object, but it was a bit late. Jones was gone. She sighed and took off her jacket, hanging it over her arm. If anything goes wrong, I do not want to be responsible. But I gotta try, right? she thought. She knew that the Stormaway was most likely gone, so she turned and walked into the library.
Mia popped her head. she was absolutely bored and was new to the institute. Her long brown hair was in a messy bun some strands falling to frame her lovely face. she bit her lip as she looked around. nope, nobody she gave a sigh and straightened as she fully entered what now was to be her home.
Jaze heard the door open and close and frowned slightly. Wonder who that is, she thought. She stood up, ignoring the dried vamp blood on her jeans as she walked out of the library. She looked around, then started walking towards what she'd heard.
mia heard silent footsteps and she turned around and met another girls gaze. she gave a smile "hello" she said to the girl
Jaze made her face blank when the other girl saw her. She saw scars on her arms from runes; A giveaway that she was a Shadowhunter. "Hi," she responded, a bit shyly.
Mia smiled. she saw this was a shadowhunter as well. "can you tell I'm new?" she chuckled. "My name is Mia"
On the inside, Jaze smiled. On the outside, her face remained blank. "I'm Jaze," she said. She heard the girl say she was new and thought, When is Jones getting back? I have no clue how to do the paperwork for newbies. "Welcome to the Institute."
Jones then finally returned to the Institute, a lot in mind when he heard Jaze and a new voice. 'Another shadowhunter?' he thought.
Jaze frowned slightly when she heard someone else enter the Institute. Now, who's that? she thought, hoping it was Jones.
((oh no Mia and Nia. This'll get confusing....))

((Nicole's character is Nia she's not on a whole lot anymore though so my character Aly is kinda stuck for now, slowly doing a little at the hotel.))
((sorry about the names!))Mia studied the girl she just met. she seemed nice and it seemed that she only relaxed with people shes known for a while. Mia heard someone else come in and saw a male. she looked from jaze to the guy wondering if he was the one in charge.
((Like how they were making a joke out of it all at first XD?))

Jones stopped when he saw Mia. "Oh hello there. New to the Institute are you?" he asked, sighing.
Jaze answered for Mia. "Yes, she's new. Jones, Mia. Mia, Jones. He's the head of the Institute."
Daniella enters the institute and walks to the library. When she gets there, she sets her bag down on a table and gets a book off the shelf. Danny sits down in a chair and begins to read.
Jones turns and sees Danny. "Hi there!" he called, getting mind boggled with how many shadowhunters were going in and out.
"Oh, uh, hi!" she turns to Jones and smiles.
"I'm Jones, Head of the Institute. You are...?" he questioned.
Dawn entered the institute with a soft smile. She was getting into a nocturnal habit and was only just getting tired now.
Jaze walked away from Jones and the other Shadowhunter. Too many newbies have appeared lately, she thought, rubbing her eyes for a moment, then continuing to walk.
