Claire (cardnoc) | 1 comments Hi, I'm Claire and love urban fantasy , and some sci-fi and pnr as well. I used to read a lot of fantasy as a teenager but haven't had time to read much for years, until my husband bought me the twilight books, I liked them (didn't love them) but they reminded me how much I liked reading and I love them for that.

Leanna (bookie10) | 5 comments My name is Leanna and I am fairly new to the PR genre, but I am hooked. The Twilight series got me started and I haven't stopped since! I really loved Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker series and J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood! I am quickly working my way through Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter books now and have several other series lined up and ready to go!

message 407: by Jess (new)

message 415: by Akisa (new)

Akisa | 1 comments Good Morning! I am Akisa and I love PNR. If it doesn't have a vampire, shifter, witch, etc in it than I don't read it. Well, that's not 100% true but mostly :) My two favorite authors are Laurell K. Hamilton and Sherrilyn Kenyon but I will read anything I can get my hands on most of the time. I look forward to learning about new authors that I can add to my list of favs.

message 416: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments Hi Akisa, welcome to the group. :)

message 417: by Eva (new)

Eva (evakipler) | 4 comments Hi All, I am new to this group, but I am in other groups with a few of you. I love to read UF and PNR. My favorite authors include:
Patricia Briggs, Carrie Vaughn, Nalini Singh, Laurell K. Hamilton, J.R. Ward, MaryJanice Davidson, and many others that I am sure I am forgetting about.

I am also frequently discovering new authors (at least to me) that I am really liking. One such author is Elisabeth Naughton. I read her current book "Marked" and loved it.

Looking forward to reading and participating in the discussions here.

Eva

Mistress SuckMyBlackDagger (suckmyblackdagger) | 6 comments Hey! I am a mother of 2 and a lover of PNR and Erotica. I have a serious addiction! I love Gena Showalter, Larissa Ione, Pamela Palmer, Kresley Cole, Joey W. Hill, Elizabeth Amber, and Lora Leigh. Just to name a few. I am open for any sub genre but it must be HOT. That is my only requirement. LMAO.

message 425: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments Hi there! Welcome to the group, and I have to say that Lora Leigh is also one of my favorites!! Her breed series is fantastic!!

message 426: by Lover of Romance (new)

Lover of Romance (loverofromance) | 4 comments Gena Showalter is one of my favorites too!!! Her Atlantis series is probably my fav, but I also enjoy Lords of the Underworld as well!!!

Mistress SuckMyBlackDagger (suckmyblackdagger) | 6 comments @ Jess Thanks! I read Breeds straight through to Lions Heat. I think the Ellora's cave published are the hottest but the storyline def got better after she went more mainstream. But love them all the same!

message 430: by Jan (new)

Jan (libraryhag) Hi, I'm Jan. I am a librarian and I love paranormal fiction. I only discovered Urban Fantasy a few years ago but I love it. I also read paranormal and UF young adult books and even some children's books. Just finished Unholy Ghosts which totally rocked.

message 431: by Angelika (new)

Angelika | 40 comments Hi, I'm Angelika and I don't think I've intoduced myself yet. Got onto this site through originally signing onto facebook (and that was only to try and find a friend I hadn't been able to get in contact with for a couple of years). Needless to say I'm hardly on there and here a lot more! I read about anything but mostly into PNR and UF now. I forget how I got into this genre, probably LKH whose books I initially loved but am now controversial on. Some of my favourite authors include Ilona Andrews, Katie MacAlister, Kelley Armstrong, Karen Chance, Carrie Vaughn....but have been finding many new ones that I'm loving (Lilith Saintcrow for one).

Loving this place so far even though I only joined a few weeks ago, plus all the comments and recommendations. And sorry...but am I the only one who really isn't that stuck on BDB?? I have pretty much all the books but they aren't my favourites.

message 432: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments Hey Jan, welcome to the group! I haven't read Unholy Ghosts yet, but I'm pretty sure I have it on my TBR

message 433: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments Hi Angelika! Welcome! And no, you aren't the only one who isn't stuck on BDB. I like the series, but it's not one that I re-read consistently.

Mistress SuckMyBlackDagger (suckmyblackdagger) | 6 comments @ jess I lived BDB but like you said I dont sit around and reread it all the time either

message 435: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (Smiley1881) | 159 comments I don't think I have ever re-read a book

Mistress SuckMyBlackDagger (suckmyblackdagger) | 6 comments really I reread twilight series a few times before i ventured to pnr

message 437: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (Smiley1881) | 159 comments I think a few years from now or when I forget how everything goes I might reread the twilight series because I loved it so much but seriously there are sooo many great books out there and not enough time to read them all once :)

message 438: by Miri (last edited Jun 17, 2010 09:46PM) (new)

Miri (miriamarosen) Hi I'm Miri,
I've only recently started to read a lot and I'm now a library member which is unusual for someone like me who was a movie/tv addict. I got bitten by the Twilight series and love urban fantasy, supernatural type genres. My favorite reads so far are The Hunger game series, (final book out in August woohoo!), The Immortal Series and of course Twilight.

message 439: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (Smiley1881) | 159 comments Welcome Miri! You have come to the right place:)

message 440: by Juana (new)

Juana Hello, my name is Juanita. I love to read and my pile o' books tends to have a healthy dose of PNR and UF lately. :-) The book that got my started was After Dark (Harmony, #1) by Jayne Castle and I've been hooked ever since. Other authors I have read and enjoyed include Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lynsay Sands, Jeaniene Frost, Marjorie M. Liu, Patricia Briggs, Gail Carriger, and Maggie Stiefvater.

message 441: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments Welcome Miri! I'm glad you've been turned to the book side of things :)

Jess | 3721 comments Hey Juanita, welcome! I have yet to try Jayne Castle, even though I've read her other pen names.

message 443: by Christina (new)

Christina | 13 comments Hello all!! My name's Christina. I love to read. Something that started after... well in the middle of college when I got tired of reading science text books. The majority of my books are PNR and I'm addicted to Janet Evanovich (doesn't really go together). My favorite authors are Sherrilyn Kennyon and Christine Feehan... I'm a series girl! The longer the series the better! I can't wait to see what everyone else is reading. I'm always looking for new books :)

message 444: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments Hi Christina, welcome to the group. (I'm also a big fan of Evanovich, and I still read PNR lol)
