I've written a list of books to read which include many of the books discussed on this thread and would be happy to add to it. I tend to pick an author and ready all of his/her books. I love anything with a good strong female lead and lots of supes.

Hi, my name is Nichole....I have been an avid reader all of my life and started reading even more last year after I got my kindle. While I read a bit of everything, I got hooked on PNR/Urban Fantasy after reading the Southern Vampire Chronicles. My favorites are:
Jeaniene Frost
Ilona Andrews
Patricia Brigg's (Alpha & Omega Series...have not started the Mercy Thompson series yet).
Charlaine Harris
Karene Marie Moning
Shelly Laurenston
Kerrelyn Sparks
And I am always looking for new authors/series to read ;-)

I love to find new books and share ideas with friends. I'm pretty active on the Amazon forums, so you might have seen me on there. If you want to see some of my Amazon reviews or lists of paranormal romance/urban fantasy recommendations, here's a link to my amazon profile:

I've done a list of abou 40 paranormal romance/urban fantasy must reads as well as lists of shapeshifter romances, romances focused on the Fae and humorous paranormal romance.

Some of my favorites are Laurell K Hamilton, Kim Harrison, Karen Chance, Yasmine Galenorn, Ilona Andrews, Jim Butcher... could probaly go on for quite a while. I love finding new authors and am always up for giving a first book a shot. Some great new ones I've found recently are M. L. N. Hanover, Jocelynn Drake, Diana Rowland, Seanan McGuire, Jaye Wells, Jes Battis, Jennifer Rardin (okay so she's not so new, but still good).
Unfortunately I've been getting a little behind on my reading (keep finding books to read from the library rather than reading the new ones I've bought). I'm also running out room for my growing library because I love to reread my favorites and have a hard time giving my books up. I'm always willing to loan them out to friends though. Okay, sorry I went on so long. I'm so glad I found this site and this group. :-)

Hi, my name is Kate and I've loved PR for who knows how long. My obsession with the Paranormal began when my parents took me to see Interview With The Vampire when it came out in theatres. I've read Anne Rice, Laurell K. Hamilton, Jeaniene Frost, Tanya Huff, Richelle Mead, Kelley Armstrong, Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris and Keri Arthur. I'm always looking for new authors and book suggestions :D

I look forward to participating in this group as much as possible.

I try to read anything that I can get my hands on. I love a great vampire story, paranormal, ghost, and just anything else in the relm of fantasy. I can read a standard book, 400 or so pages in abotu 10 hours. My husband is going broke trying to keep me in books.
I hate when I find a great author that I like, find out that he or she has written an entire series based on the first book that I read, I read all of the available books and find out that I have to wait for another book to finish the series. I am an imatient woman and I want instant satisfaction. In other words, I like to have everything resolved when I finish reading and not have to wait an entire year to see whats going to happen next.
I am obnoxious and opinionated and a lot of fun at party after one or two drinks..but I cant get drunk so no luck there.
I have 8 1/2 year old twin boys and a dog and a cat. Ive been with my DH for 12 years and he watches True Blood with me.
And I am very excited to be a member.

I'll read almost any fiction if it's got a good review. I've been a long-time reader of mystery, but recently got into the urban fantasy genre when I read the Sookie Stackhouse series (which I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED - can't wait for May!). My husband is a big fantasy fan, so he thinks it's cool, although he teases me a lot about my crush on Eric and obsession with vampire sex (just in books, of course).
I read Twilight, but wasn't hooked and didn't read further. Also, got sick of Anita Blake after book three. Now I have started reading the Mercy Thompson series, and am loving it. Mercy Thompson is a fabulous character. I am very driven by reading good characters, which is why I didn't like Anita Blake. Too much telling us she was tough, when she just loads herself up with weapons and some messed up morality.
Don't know why it took me so long to get to Urban Fantasy, I've been an original watcher of Buffy and have all the DVDs. That show was brilliant.
Okay, I have rambled too long, and my son's show is now over.
Ciao.

I'm Chichimo. I am a total BDB fanatic and can't wait for the next in the Demonica series. I've always been into this genre (via movies and t.v.), just didn't realize that there were so many books out there. I actually just started reading about 6 months ago and am completely, utterly hooked. Whenever I try to start another genre (used to be all about murder mystery), I start to miss my PNR.

I'm Lauren and i'm 17. I got introduced to PNR this past summer via an excerpt of Lover Avenged in Cosmo, i read the excerpt, thought it sounded good, checked it out of the library and the rest as they say is history. Now i can't get enough of PNR. Some of my most favorite PNR authors include J.R. Ward, Lara Adrian, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Stephanie Meyer. In addition to PNR, i read nearly everything else, YA, popular fiction, spy novels, et al. I accept almost all friend requests, so if you want to be friends just send a request my way.

Hi I'm Sherry and I've been reading for a long time. Lord of the Storm by Justine Davis started my love for PNR. My favorite type of book to read is sci-fi romance. Some of my favorite authors are Keri Arthur, Joss Ware, Jordan Summers, Elizabeth Vaughan & Lara Adrian.

Welcome to the group Sherry!!

I decided the Lurkers' Lounge was getting a little dull so I thought I'd stick my head out and wave at you all.
I've been a fantasy/ S.F. geek my whole life...used to play Dungeons and Dragons back when you actually had to go to someone's house, order a pizza and play sitting around the table, face to face. I've always loved Anne Rice but have only discovered other vampire stories and the whole paranormal genre fairly recently. I have both of your current BoTM's on my shelves so I think I'll fit in just fine. Thanks for enabling my addiction.
