Robert Wright (rhwright) | 130 comments So, spend my GC on either Malazan #3 (still need to finish 1 & 2), Theft of Swords, or wait until inspiration strikes me?

It's not like I lack for books on my to-be-read or want lists.

What does everyone think?

Nicky | 17 comments I'd go with bk 3(my favorite so far in the series) as long as you've read bk 1 in the Malazan series bk 3 makes sense (if you want to jump around)

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) Wait for inspiration.

Traci I'm a huge Malazan fan but I'd wait on buying more until you've read the second. It's not for everyone.

Theft of Swords is fun but I guess it depends on what kind of fantasy you like. If you're looking for the next big epic fantasy series this isn't it. But if you like fun quick light action stories, with some humor, you might like it.

Robert Wright (rhwright) | 130 comments The problem is so much appeals to me ... I already own 1000+ books, mostly "to be read."

I think I may wait 'til I finish 1&2 to decide whether to continue or switch it up for another series. There are so many Malazan book at this point I don't think I would devote myself exclusively to them anyway.

As to my tastes in fantasy: very catholic. Big epics, sword & sorcery, humorous, contemporary urban, steampunk, etc.

May wait on the Malazan, too, just because I got good bargains on the others by waiting. I'd prefer not to pay $9.99 if I don't have to.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 7282 comments You know, I think I have a copy of memories of Ice at home, brand new.

I've owned it for over 4 years.

It has never been cracked open.

If I still have it, that is.
