Sounds interesting Elaine. I would certainly like a review copy, Amazon/Kindle preferred.

Elaine (httpgoodreadscomelaine_chaika) | 43 comments I will have bound paper copies by mid-February. Whether I'll put them up as ebooks at that time depends on whether or not I get a publisher. I have a Kirkus Review coming on January 26th, and if it's as favorable as the editor's reaction, I should find a publisher within a month or so. If the publisher doesn't object, I'll also put it on Nook and Kindle. The problem with Kindle for me is that it doesn't have page numbers and doesn't reproduce illustrations well--and Nook has and does both. But I will put it on Kindle anyways, so, actually, I'll have a sense of whether to make it into an ebook right away by January 26th, but, one wy or another,it will be an ebook. I myself rarely read print books any more, and haven't for years.

Jonny Payne (jonnypayne) | 16 comments The video trailer for my book, Mighty Little Man: My Story, His Story, Our Story, has just been released on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhDDY...

Here's the link to the book on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

It is the inspirational true story of a Harley-riding, muscle car building, military man and his military mascot cat, Little Man, as they overcome many obstacles in their efforts to do "whatever it takes" to pull Little Man through a terrible ordeal.

Dagny Mofid | 1 comments Hi Barb,

I'm fairly new to goodreads. I'd be honored if you would consider my book for a group discussion one month. I think many of you will really enjoy it!!! The book is a humorous memoir. Here is the description:

Dagny’s obsession with horses began when she was young and could bounce back from injury. In the beginning, she spent more time being catapulted through the air than actually sitting in the saddle. After a childhood tragedy, however, she is left hanging by a thread and eventually walks away from the magic of Equus. Years later, when adult life becomes as exciting as bone marrow, Merlot gallops into her life. Yes, buying a devil of a horse is just a brilliant solution to midlife boredom. Shaking in her boots, Dagny soon realizes life is not pink. What follows is a winding and often hilarious tale of horses, ice storms, downed electric fences, a nasty hurricane, and one very crazy life. Spanning two countries and five states, the author takes the reader on a very personal, touching journey with profound life lessons.

Life Without Stirrups A Witty Memoir About One Person's Gallop Through Life by Dagny Mofid

It is available on Amazon in paperback and kindle format and on Barnes and Noble in paperback and nook format.

C.C. Alma (ccalma) | 4 comments Hi everyone. I just published a story about a world-wide pandemic that is partly told from the point of view of a little dog. The dog survives the plague and then heads out to find other survivors. You might like this story if you're looking for something that is a mixture of The Art of Racing in the Rain and The Stand.

The story is 47 pages on Kindle, and it's only 99 cents.

Leah (pekelady) | 23 comments I'm so so so excited to present to you my new book, Muffin's House. A children's books about the bond between a dog and a little girl. It is illustrated by my best friend of 26 years Kellie Sanborn-Brown.

Here is what Katie Grant, the publisher of the Down East Dog News thought after she read it.

"Muffin’s House tells the sweet story of a girl and her dog who listen to that unspoken connection between each other instead of the pressures around them. Author, Leah Haney, captures this great bond between Muffin and Ellie with charm and ease through her writing. Haney’s subtle education throughout the story about the Pekingese breed will inform readers about this unique breed – they aren’t just ‘fu-fu’ dogs! Muffin’s House is wonderful story of resilience: that of Ellie standing up for Muffin and then also Muffin’s determination to protect Ellie. Muffin’s House will speak volumes to and entertain readers young and old alike!"

I hope a few of you will check it out and let me know what you think.

Jennifer Wilson | 9 comments Hello all! I am a new author and avid animal lover! You can see my background info in the new members thread. I just published my first novel, "A Heart Full of Hope". It is written like a suspenseful, heart-warming fiction read, but it is actually the true story of survival of the twin colts born at our farm last summer. It is available in both Kindle and Paperback with a release date of May 21 for Kindle and May 26th for Paperback.

As my first book, and self-edited, it isn't perfect, but it is a beautiful debut. Everyone who has read an advance copy is raving over it. I am already working on an expanded second edition to present to publishers at the end of this year and will be starting on a young teens fictional series based on the miracle boys.

I will be doing a giveaway in this group for a signed copy :) You can see information of my book here:
http://www.amazon.com/Heart-Full-Hope...

"After a routine post-breeding sonogram confirmed a single embryo, Jessica Williams was shocked when her beloved mare gave birth to twins. Pregnant herself, and having recently moved to a larger home with an unfinished farm, Jessica is in no position to handle twins. When the twins contract a deadly blood infection, Jess must make an harrowing journey to get them to the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center, the premier animal hospital in her area. Under the advice of a friend, Jessica creates a Facebook page for the colts that quickly reaches ten thousand followers and becomes an amazing community of hope and support. In the event that the twins survive, Jess will be faced with the painful decision of selling either her treasured Half Arabian foals or the miracle twins with whom she had been blessed. This beautifully written novel recounts the true story of survival of Majus and Majician, the twin Arabian colts. Against all odds they struggled to survive while their breeder struggled to find a way to keep them together. A story of hope, faith, and determination, A Heart Full of Hope will enchant readers of all ages and backgrounds and dares you to live your dreams."

message 132: by Tonya (new)

Tonya Royston | 2 comments Hi! I just joined this group because I love animals. I write young adult paranormal mysteries that involve animals. I'd like to share my debut series, The Sunset Trilogy, with this group. Before I say much about the story, I would like to explain that I love wolves. There is something about them that is awe-inspiring. I also know that they've been given a bad rap throughout fiction for centuries.

So I wrote a story that weaves a good wolf into a mystery/romance plot. One of my ulterior motives is to give wolves a positive image. The only true villain in the story is human. In fact, a book reviewer had this to say: "Royston's love of animals, especially wolves, comes through clearly in this exciting tale of love, loss, courage, and forgiveness. The Sunset Trilogy is a page-turner that will appeal to animal lovers, romantics, and suspense fans of all ages, easily crossing the YA, NA, and adult genres."

The Sunset Trilogy is a story about a girl who can communicate with animals. Her best friend is a wolf who helps her rescue a little boy in the beginning. Then two guys move to town who both have their sights set on her, only why is the question.

I would be honored if some of you would give this story a chance and let me know what you think.

The first book to this series, Shadows at Sunset, is currently $1.99 in digital format and 25 cents for every copy sold of each book in the trilogy will be donated to the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, a charity aimed at helping animals and the environment.

Thank you for your time today and happy reading! From a fellow animal lover :)

Sheri S. | 18 comments Seven Days to Goodbye is the first book of the YA series, Trina Ryan's Dogs in Training. Coming July 18th is the sequel, Starting Over.
Trina is a puppy raiser for service dogs and has seven days before her trained dog will be matched to his forever companion. During those last days Trina and her best friend, Sarah, seem to be changing in interests. When Trina's dog makes a magical connection with a young boy with autism, the girls meet his older brothers. This story has humor, growing pains, and plenty of puppy love in both varieties.

Catherine Lind (catherinelind) | 1 comments Fly wings, Fly high! by Catherine Lind I had a stroke almost two years ago, and I lost much of my language skills and my vocabulary.
The same summer I had my stroke, a little magpie was born in our garden. He had a huge disability; he couldn’t fly. One of his wings was deformed and much smaller than the other. Usually birds don’t survive something like that, but he did. Not only did he survive, he built himself a beautiful life in our front yard. Without him knowing it, he gave me the tools I needed and he helped me find my way back. With a little help from each other we learned how to fly again.

I just published my latest book; Fly wings, Fly High! It’s a short story and the first book I written since the stroke. It tells the story about my journey back to a new life, but also the story of a courageous bird, his determination gave me strength to fight.

If you’re interested in my new book you find it here: http://amzn.to/2rFM3dN It’s published both as a kindle book, enrolled in kindle unlimited, and as a paperback.

Catherine
