The Notebook
question
What was your First Nicholas Sparks Book

There is a lot of discussions about Fav/Last/Worst NS books i was wondering which was your first and did it switch you on to read more NS books.
Mine was The Notebook and i picked it up at the Airport by chance and read it in one go on my flight in floods of tears. From there i started picking up his books by random and so far have enjoyed the ones i have read.

Geez, it's been so many years since I started reading Nicholas Sparks novels that I can't even remember which one was the first. It was either A Walk To Remember, Message In A Bottle, The Notebook or A Bend In The Road. I'm not sure which. I've read almost all of his books though except for The Wedding, True Believer, At First Sight and The Choice. Plus the one about his brother and the new one. My favorite one was The Lucky One.
The first Nicholas Sparks book I read was "Nights in Rodanthe" and since then I collect all his other stories.
a walk to remember which is a masterpiece. then it was followed by other books of nicholas sparks
The Notebook followed by the Wedding. Love his books, but since they usually make me cry, I am picky about when and how often I read them. I believe.

Hmm, The Notebook and Dear John but I really enjoyed Safe Haven on screen.
It was either Dear John or The Notebook... But his books make me too emotional, so I haven't read anything by him in a while. The one where the guy finds a picture of a woman is the last book I read... i'm bad at remembering titles.
safe haven!!!! i couldn't sleep without a page of it.. it's unputdownable..
My first Nicholas Sparks book was The Notebook, then Message in a Bottle, then The Last Song, then Dear John, then The Lucky One and many many more! :)
Bend in the Road. I actually bought this book on a 3 for £5 deal at Morrisons and at the checkout the lady recommended the Author so I went home and read this first couldn't put it down then read the Notebook and the Wedding on her recommendation and on through all the others he has written. Think my favourite is The Choice
my first Nicholas spark novel was a walk to remember. it made me cry, and read it twice.
The first book I read was "A Walk to Remember". Love really changes a person.
The Notebook and I liked it so much that I read eight of his books in a row
I think The Lucky One was mine, from then I've just randomly picked up Safe Haven, The Best of Me, The Notebook, A Walk To Remember etc..
I do want to read them all though!!

The Notebook. I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Sparks at an event at the Doylestown Library in PA. It was shortly after his first book was released and he said that he was really surprised about how many people liked the book. He signed my copy of his book which I still have and it's one of my favorite treasures.
Message in a Bottle was my first and I have read all of his other books. One of my favs was "3 weeks with my brother". It is a departure from his usual story line but a love story of its own kind.
My first NS book was The Notebook. My friend came across her mom's old copy. Her mom's name was penciled in on the inside of the cover. When my friend finished she wrote her name under her mom's; then she passed it on to me and told me to write my name when I finished. She did that with several of our friends. My aunt lent me The Wedding after that and I didn't like it, so I stopped reading NS. At the time I didn't realize NS had written such an extensive list of books, so I actually didn't get into his books until my friend gave me The Lucky One for Christmas several years later. Now I am hooked and am trying to read them all!
The Last Song, I was younger when I read it, but it got me hooked on Nicholas Sparks, I used to reread it so many times.
A walk to remember.. sooo many years ago :) then read many of his books :)
Dear John was my first one of his. I've since read The Notebook and I wouldn't think twice about picking up another one of his books! But I think I wouldn't read his books one after the other as they seem too similar. They must be enjoyed and savoured once in a while.
The Guardian. I'm not a fan really...I did read dear john too. It was ok, just not my style of book/writing.

Mine was The Notebook and i picked it up at the Air..."
My first was A Walk to Remember, which remains my favorite book by Nicholas sparks. I enjoyed the movie, as well, and pull it out when I'm in the mood for a good cry. I also enjoyed The Last Song (movie too) and Dear John, even though I really hated the girl (Savannah?) because I thought she was wishy-washy and self-centered.

A walk to remember! And I didn't like the book. Thought it was overhyped.

The Notebook! The book is so much better than the movie. The movie makes Allie seem like a ditz which I can't stand. But then again, the movie does have Ryan Gosling in it so I guess that makes up for everything. :)
Message in a Bottle! Read it while waiting to fly red-eye back from Seattle. After getting home at 6:00 am I sat at the kitchen counter and finished the book sobbing like a babe!
A Walk to Remember was the first book of Nicholas sparks that i lay my hands on, and since then i have been hooked to his works.
I started with the notebook because I wanted a book from Nicholas, and for my birthday I got the notebook, that's why it was my first. Totally loved it.
Well this is tough I have read most of the book and watched all the movies
