Christine Hannon | 40 comments Good morning
I have been told so many times there are no such things as a stupid question. Well for all of you who have been doing this for so long I think I have it. This is my first book and I keep reading about voting for tags or adding more tage and an authors page. I thought I had done all of those things but I am not sure I did it right. Some I have liked have many more tags than I do. If anyone has time will you please check it out for me and let me know if it is properly done.
Thank you

Kristin, I have no complaints. I did make a suggestion -- that people put their heads together and use this energy for something else. However, I'll search elsewhere for like-minded writers. You can cast your aspersions elsewhere. I won't bother replying to anything further on this thread, as it seems to be unwelcome.

My apologies to anyone I've offended.

Miles Gentry (miles_gentry) | 76 comments Hi Christine,

I am happy to help, though perhaps not the most qualified. As I understand it, Tags are "keywords" which are associated with your book. Essentially, tags are used for people to search, and hopefully find, relevant books based on a particular keyword.

For instance, I just searched the word "hairdresser" and your book is the 1st listing. I searched the phrase "drunk driver" and you book is the 1st listing. That is the objective!

The more people that "agree with" or "like" your tags, the higher your book will rank for that particular keyword search. In essence, we want people whom have never heard of our book to be exposed to it (i.e. find it), just by searching relevant terms (tags) associated with it. If someone has never heard of your book, and they search "hairdresser," they will see your book first.

I hope this helps. :-)

Good luck!

Just wanted to let you know you should be able to link your paperback with your kindle edition. This will be useful when you start getting reviews because then the reviews for the paperback will show up on the kindle page, and vice versa.

I think Amazon should do it automatically, but both editions need to have the same exact name, so I think because one of your books says "Volume 1" but the other says "Glow in the Dark" that that's keeping them apart. If you changed one so they were both the same they should link up.

Also, I'm working on catching up with all of you.

The book's Amazon page could use a bit of love, so if anyone can LIKE some of the 5 star reviews and/or dislike the few negative reviews, that would be greatly appreciated. Not too worried about tags, it's more likes for the title's positive reviews that we are seeking. Many thanks.

You have to join up for Kindle Select which allows your book to be borrowed (for a fee) and also allows you to offer it free for a few days. You have to sign up for 90 days, but after that you can take it off. The only snag is that your book isn't allowed to be offered anywhere else during that period. Hope that helps!
